This was a one night stop over, and repeat visit to Vancouver a city we love, to give us a break before dropping our hired car at the airport and taking the coach/ ferry to Victoria. The central location suited us and the available parking at reasonable cost in a secure parking lot relatively nearby was acceptable. The room was small with no view other than the concrete wall of the building next door. Though do you need a view if its for one night and for much of the time you are out in the downtown or asleep. The lift was slow and small.
Unlike other Days Inn here was no breakfast supplied.

Hello, thank you for your detailed and objective review.
I am new to the property, I know other Days Inn do offer complimentary breakfast, when there is no restaurant in the location I understand. We have the Chelsea Restaurant from 7 to 3 pm and the Pub that closes at 2 am. I will double check. Enjoy the rest of summer and thanks again for sharing your experience.

With a prestigious location downtown, it's own restaurant and "classic pub", Days Inn was a key factor on my more than successful trip in Vancouver. Big, comfortable rooms and excellent service do not match the low prices Days Inn offers. Whether you are in town for business or as a tourist, Days Inn is definitely the best option if you do not want to spend the big money on the Fairmont.

There is always room for improvement, and taking into consideration that it is a really old building, you have to be patient with the only elevator that takes you up and down the 8 floors.

Ps. If you get a chance, ask for the GM, and she will make your stay in Vancouver even more spectacular; no one in Vancouver will give you a better itinerary, full of cultural and thrilling visits.

The building is old, but fairly clean. One tiny and very slow elevator, I'd say take the stuffy stairs. Corridors are not A/C, very hot. Dining options are closed for most of weekend, really annoying. Parking was crazy expensive and kind of far away, and I'm from Seattle (where parking is always inconvenient), so I was pretty surprised.

Dear Alyssa,
Thank you so much for your review. I appreciate guest's feedback.
I will see if I can trace your reservation as we only charge $15 cad plus taxes for parking per night, a special rate we got for our guests. It's a 5 minute walk, the elevator from the Terminal City Club opens steps away from Hastings, you cross the street and at the corner, separated by only one building, is our little historic hotel.
Parking downtown Vancouver is quite expensive.
Enjoy the rest of summer in Seattle.

Much better than originally expected stay at this Day's Inn. Property well kept, neat and clean.
Staff very friendly and cooperative. The room we stayed was super clean, well equipped and the only minor downside was the bathroom . The toilet was in such as small enclosure that it was kind of difficult to use, same with the faucet, but it was very well kept, clean and nice tub /shower
Of course I will go back if in Vancouver. The small breakfast café is good and fairly good prices. Not open for dinner, but yes for breakfast and small light lunch.
Hotel provides free transportation to cruses and free internet that work in-rooms

A great place to stay before a cruise. It is very conveniently located. Rooms are small, but staff were very helpful.

Stayed 1 night in room 301 pre cruise. Hotel is in prime location only a couple of blocks to cruise terminal. There is a free shuttle bus for cruisers which was fantastic. We didnt have to check out until 11.30am which gave us more time to check out downtown. Also free bus to downtown locations. We used it to go to Stanley Park to check out the aquarium. Rooms are small and have no view but that didnt bother us. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. Great pricing for this location.
