To those who go to Lonsdale Quay, DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT BUY pashminas from the scarf store across Cobs and Soupmeister, next to the watch repair shop (Store 120B?). My daughter and I went into the store to look at some pashminas. She started to touch one of the scarves on a hanger. It was then that the vendor (owner?) (Chinese guy, heavy accent, 60+ years old, about 5'11") bolted towards and yelled at my four-year old daughter for touching one of the scarves, saying that she "damaged the scarf." I told him to tone down his voice around young children, and to relax. It was then that a barrage of profanity was yelled back at us - anything from "You, f***ing b****!" to "F*** you!" in front of dumbfounded customers. Does he not know that people choose scarves by touching them? Also, how can a scarf be damaged by "touch?" If it had been damaged, it's probably because it was cheaply made!
So, if you don't like abuse, avoid this particular store. No exaggeration. Ask witnesses from the stores around.
With that said, though, I still love the market!
