Our party of three stayed at the TreeHouse for pre and post cruise rest. We traveled with my beautiful 86 years young mother and needed to have some quiet time during our vacation. Our rooms were neat, clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts provide a binder in the room that has all their recommendations. We used this book and enjoyed a local restaurant. We enjoyed the neighbourhood and found the location easy to get back to after enjoying the sites of Vancouver.
The best thing about this B&B was the fabulous breakfasts! Barb worked very had to provide a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy! We left each morning full and energized for the day! Barb was very accommodating of requests.
We loved our stay!

Room Tip: Upper room was roomy and quiet-

Hi again and thanks for your review! What a joy it was to have you and your 86 years young mother stay with us both before and after your cruise.

It's great to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and that you found it a "feast for the eyes" and filling.

The TreeHouse Guidebook is indeed chock full of information about the B&B, the neighborhood, restaurants, shopping, and recommended sightseeing for one day, two days, a week or longer. It even has suggested walking tours and a city tour you can take using your own car.

It's absolutely fabulous that you were able to take a cruise with the family! We're sure it was a great experience for everyone!

We stayed at The Treehouse BnB for more than 10 days with our family. It was an excellent, comfortable stay. Barb is a superb hostess and goes out of the way to prepare 3-course delicious breakfasts. She is ever helpful and provides valuable advice. Our family is vegetarian, and she ensured that all of us received more than enough veg fare. The place is well located, though a car rental is strongly recommended if you are planning to tour Vancouver city with it's many outdoors attractions. We managed to meet new interesting people during our visit, thanks mainly to the sit down breakfast daily! Overall, we will miss this place when we leave.

Thanks so much for your review. What a pleasure it was having you and your family stay with us! It's good to hear that you enjoyed the 10 days of breakfasts. We sure enjoyed the experience. It was delightful to hear the laughter and the animated conversation at breakfast.

Car Rental does indeed make sightseeing easier in many ways, especially if guests are planning to travel around greater Vancouver to all the wondrous outdoor attractions!

We are certainly going to miss you and hope that you return someday!

My partner Jon and I stayed here for 3 nights after a long flight from Australia. We were thrilled with our tree top room, it was private, cosy, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed sharing breakfast with the other guests, it was a great way to meet people and to hear about their experiences. Barb and the other staff are all very helpful, kind and compassionate people. It was a real pleasure to stay here, the location was perfect as it was peaceful in a lovely neighbourhood yet really close to the attractions of the city.

Thanks so much for your review!
It’s good to know that you were able to relax after that long flight from Australia. Our aim to provide a restful, Zen experience.
We agree that meeting and chatting with other guests at breakfast is a great way to share experiences and compare notes about sightseeing venues in Vancouver. We’re glad that you found Barb and the other staff helpful, kind and compassionate!
Isn’t Kerrisdale lovely? It is truly peaceful yet within the range of lots of Vancouver attractions.

Me and my girlfriend moved to Vancouver on a year visa and spent our first 2 weeks in A Treehouse Bed and Breakfast.
Before arriving to Vancouver, we decided that we needed somewhere to stay whilst looking for an ideal area to live more permanently. We thought the benefits of staying at a B&B would be that there would be people who are staying and working there who may be able to help us on our search in a new city, and we weren't wrong.
Barb, Bob and Mario were all so helpful when giving us advice on where to go and what to do. The city really is quite easy to get around once you get a hang of the nearby bus routes. The B&B is in a nice residential area but only a 5 minute walk to the nearest shops and restaurants. There are also some amazing walks and trails nearby.
Throughout our stay we were thoroughly looked after, the choice of the continental breakfast was great (Rebekah was pregnant so we hardly made 9 o clock most mornings), but the fact that we could wander down at 11am and still eat our breakfast together was ideal, an option most other B&B's offer.
The rooms we stayed in were clean and kept well, the bed in both the Treetop and Redcedar 2 were very comfy.
Overall we had a great stay at what made it so nice was the warm welcome from all the hosts. Even though we only met Bob on our last day, he was great providing us with information on not only the Kerrisdale area but Vancouver as a whole.
I think its safe to say that we felt a part of the Treehouse family when we left, and would like to thank everybody for accommodating us.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review when you are so busy settling into your new home. Two weeks is a long time to stay and we appreciate your comments as we feel you really got a sense of “what we are about”.
We sure enjoyed having you stay with us! We loved suggesting places for you to consider for your new home as well as places for sightseeing and restaurants.
It’s good to hear that you enjoyed the continental breakfasts at whatever time fit for you. We offer 3 options, the gourmet at 9:00, the self-serve continental, and bag breakfasts to go. We realize that different guests have different schedules!
We’re glad to hear that you found the beds comfy. We have just invested in new mattresses and they are top of the line!
Thanks for your comment about feeling like a part of the TreeHouse family. Our staff of Mario, Grace, and Diego all work together to meet the needs of our guests. What would we do without them? We often have withdrawal when our guests leave. It’s hard to say goodbye. We hope to see you again!

My sister and I recently spent a week at The Treehouse B & B in Vancouver. Due to the nature of our visit, we had some daily unavoidable stress and The Treehouse was our sanctuary! We looked forward to coming "home" at the end of each day. Our home away from home was serene and beautiful and we were thoroughly spoiled by our wonderful breakfasts! Daily friendly "notes" from Barb were a lovely, warm touch. In fact, my sister commented that The Treehouse was "better than home". No argument there!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Evergreen suite which can accommodate a family. We saved money by staying in this...

Thanks for the review!

We’re glad that you found A TreeHouse a sanctuary during your “rough patch”. We strive to create a quiet, peaceful atmosphere though we are by no means immune to spirited laughter!

It’s great too that you enjoyed the breakfasts, the atmosphere, and the notes.

The Evergreen Suite easily accommodates 4 persons with room to spare. It is indeed popular with families and for guests wishing to be in the same suite but with individual beds or for single guests that want a large space that feels like a comfy apartment.

We stayed for three days early June in Vancouver after a long Alaskan tour. TreeHouse very inviting and relaxing setting in a charming neighborhood. Elaborate multi course breakfasts a real experience. Dining and sightseeing in vibrant Vancouver all within convienient driving distances. Tour vans to beautiful Vancouver Island pick up right at house and attentive host, Barb will pack you an nice breakfast to go, allowing an early start. Overall a pleasant and satisfying stay. Having the experience of B & Bs across the States, we can confidently recommend TreeHouse.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are shared bathrooms.

Thanks for your review! Having had the experience of staying at B&Bs across the States, it’s interesting to read your comments. We are so glad that you enjoyed staying with us following your Alaskan Cruise. Visiting Vancouver is a wonderful start or finish to a cruise!

It’s great to hear that you found A TreeHouse inviting and relaxing and that you enjoyed the breakfasts! The bag breakfasts are really popular for our guests who need an early start either for sightseeing, business, or early flights.

Kerrisdale is indeed a lovely neighborhood with lush gardens and towering trees. It’s convenient for dining and shopping with so many restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk from TreeHouse.

It’s correct that two of the rooms on the first floor share a bathroom between them with an extra bathroom available for guest use upstairs. The third room on the first floor, the Evergreen Suite has a ensuite bathroom that is not shared.

We absolutely love booking tours for our guests. The convenience of being picked up right at the B&B is much appreciated by our guests. We’re glad you enjoyed Vancouver and staying with us!

We visited Vancouver in mid may. The suite we stayed in upstairs worked great for the two of us...lots of room in the bedroom and the bathroom. The breakfasts were wonderful and very healthy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Barb is a very warm and outgoing person and we enjoyed visiting her establisment. We both recommend the treehouse if you need a great place to stay in Vancouver.

Room Tip: Get the upper level suite as it is roomy and more private.

Thanks for your review! We’re glad that you enjoyed our location. The TreeTop Suite is indeed quite roomy! In summer it’s especially lovely with the wraparound decks. Thanks too for your compliments about breakfast and the staff and your recommendation!
