I stayed in the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle at the end of Aug 2007. I originally booked 3 nights at the hotel using their own website and after re-organising my itinary for my trip to Canada decided to change this to 4. This was a disaster and I ended up having to call the hotel manager directly to complain about the number of errors that resulted for a simple extra night alteration and was ready to give up and cancel completely. I was offerred an immediate apology and was given the manager's personal assurance that things would be put right. I was not disappointed and when I arrived at the hotel was pleased to be informed that I had been given a room upgrade and then a personal call from the manager to check I was happy with my room. The Hotel is modern and clean and although on the expensive side breakfast was good. The hotel concierge was informative and the location of the hotel excellent for walking to Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby to choose from and if you don't want to pay upwards of CAN$ 50 for breakfast for 2 there is a nice diner across the road.

Very good situation down town ,in walking distance of the harbour and the main shopping /restaurant areas. Top floors give reasonable view across the harbour.
Staff friendly and efficient . Bedroom well kitted out. Breakfast buffet or a la carte. Dinner expensive, do not touch their "Lumberjack fries " which appeared to be mashed potato deposited in a mould and lightly fried, disgusting!! Wine expensive as it was in most places
Disappointed that on the first day of our stay we went out at 9a.m and came back at 2.30p.m and the room had not been touched.
Good business facilities.
Their porters need special praise as they handled the luggage of our 40 strong party speedily with no problems and with a smile.
Good pub nearby as well as good Malaysian,thai and Chinese restaurants

We stayed at the Marriott Pinnacle for two nights at the start of our tour from Vancouver to the Rockies. When booking the hotel we mentioned that it was our honeymoon and on arrival we were very pleasantly surprised to find that our room was on the top floor with amazing views. Not only that, we were greeted with champagne and strawberries.

The hotel was nicely decorated, clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a little on the pricey side but well worth the extra few dollars.

It's location was ideal for exploring downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. The quite pool and leisure facilites were perfect to help you relax after a day exploring the area.

Definitely worth stopping here and the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip.

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Pinnacle before our cruise. First of all, the location is great. I felt like we were centrally located for the 2 days we spent in Vancouver. ( Two days is not really enough. There's so much to do and see there.) After reading prior reviews, I was prepared to see homeless people all around. This was not the case. I don't even remember seeing one. Now about the hotel. It was fabulous. This was the best Marriott and probably one of the top hotels I've stayed at in terms of customer service. Everyone from the front desk people to the waiters in the restaurant were great. The concierge in EXCEPTIONAL. There are enough concierge working that you don't have to wait to talk to someone ane they are so knowledgeable and helpful. We had a room looking over the water and we were able to watch the float planes take off and land. It was a great view. The Marriott beds are so comfortable. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
