We stayed one night June 29th 2013 before our Alaska cruise. For $200 plus tax Canadian for a Sat night in Vancouver, this was a super deal for a hotel so close to Robson St. Weather was fantastic so we appreciated the air-con and the kind desk staff who greeted us with cold bottles of water.
Loved having our own apartment #801, that overlooked the grassy roofs of the building across Alberni St. and we could check out the pool action on the 3rd level pool of its condo neighbour.
TVs in the living room and bedroom didn't keep us from walking 20 minutes to Stanley Park where we enjoyed a great evening walk, checked out the totem poles, wooded trails and rose gardens.
With a 10 minute walk to the great architecture of the Vancouver Public Library, a $7.00 cab ride to Canada Place, the Cruise Ship Terminal and in the midst of all downtown action and great restaurants, this hotel can't be beat. AND with Tim Hortons next door for coffee and breakfast, it's a win-win situation. Quiet, clean and a Keurig coffee- maker with pleasant, welcoming desk-staff, the Carmana Plaza has everything we like.
