“Nice Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

This hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms are excellent. We stayed in 902, which was on the quieter side of the hotel, away from the road. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was a bonus. The kitchen had a dishwasher, hob, microwave and utensils

I met 2 girlfriends here for our annual girls weekend. The hotel is centrally located in a perfect spot to see the city. Close to the sky train, bus stops and walking distance to Canada place, endless shopping and restaurants! I believe it was Jason who checked us in, we were early and he still was able to offer us a room. He was so helpful - I am a marriott platinum member and we stay often- he was really exceptional. Actually everyone we encountered at the front desk was excellent. They were always polite, professional and knowledgeable. The room was new and so nice! Two queen beds, full kitchen. There was a nice terrace on the 2nd floor with tables and a fire pit, we bought a bottle of wine and sat out there and enjoyed it and socialized with other guests. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, offered something for everyone. We never found it to be overcrowded. I suggest you get up a little earlier to go down earlier, that way you'll beat the last minute stragglers who come at the end and expect it to be fully stocked and devoid of others.......the staff at breakfast is also friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to others traveling to Vancouver.

I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and location. Good on you for taking advantage of our lovely 2nd floor patio (with BBQ, lounge furniture and fire pit), and thank you for the tip about coming earlier for breakfast!

This hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms are excellent. We stayed in 902, which was on the quieter side of the hotel, away from the road. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was a bonus. The kitchen had a dishwasher, hob, microwave and utensils. We were left a couple of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towel, kitchen roll etc. It was a very considerate kitchen package, to save you having to buy these things if you were only staying a couple of nights. The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean, with a good sized, double shower. We had free breakfast, which was more than adequate. I would have liked the breakfast time to be later than a 9am close during the week. Reasonably close to shops along Burrard Street. Recommended and good value (we booked via Hotels.com).

Room Tip: Room 902 is away from the traffic.

We got an great deal on this room and hotel, which is in a superb location. The room had a very nice cooking area and two queen sized beds, and our family of 4 adults had plenty of space even with a week's worth of luggage. Having the kitchen was convenient since we could cook a couple of dinners in the room (get some fresh pasta at the Public Market on Granville Island) and pack lunches to save money. Breakfast was included, and it was of high quality...but like other reviewers have said, it's hard to get your food and find a place to sit when the hotel is busy, even sharing space with others. The servers worked hard to keep the coffee flowing and chafing dishes filled, but after 3 mornings of fighting the crowds, we just ate some leftovers so we could relax in our room without worrying about the food vanishing (from the people and/or the closing of service) or finding a place to sit (even the overflow areas were packed). Beds were comfortable, and bathroom was roomy. The hallway carpets are a bit garish, but everything was clean and felt new. All the staff were friendly and professional. The laundry room was convenient, too. The only other challenge was the tiny, tiny parking spaces. We had a small SUV, and we just finally gave up and didn't move it once we got it parked the second time. I was too afraid we'd hit another vehicle. Our subsequent hotel had much more reasonable parking spaces.

We agree: our location and team and facilities are awesome! We also see that our breakfast is HUGELY popular, so we offer additional seating in the lobby and Cavino.

Breakfast is served from 630am to 9am on weekdays and 7am to 930am one weekends. There's always a rush just at the end, so if you'd like a more leisurely breakfast, its best to come earlier.

As vehicles get bigger, parking spaces do become a challenge. I'm happy to hear you found a solution for your SUV. We make every effort to accommodate oversize vehicles wherever possible.

Kind Regards, Suzanne Allemeier, General Manager

The location is excellent; staff was very friendly (Emma was very helpful while checking in) and the breakfast was much better than other Res Inns I've stayed at. The parking garage is the only negative I can think of - not spacious at all, we had a large car so getting in and out was painful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed one night on points and would highly recommend this property. From check in, to finding a place to eat, to parking, pool and checkout, we enjoyed this stay tremendously. Spent a couple of sessions in the pool with our 3 year old swimmer. The pool met with her high standards. The pool area was clean, well maintained and suited us fine. The outdoor patio area looked very nice also. Stayed in a king w/sofa bed. Having the mini kitchen was a huge help for us on a driving vacation.
