“Modern rooms, great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

You can't really go wrong with this Marriott. With modern, very clean, rooms and ultra comfortable beds, our family of four enjoyed our stay. The kitchenette is small but very nice.

The workout room and pool/hot tub are in excellent shape - really top notch.

For the negatives - the coffee at breakfast was terrible (burnt and undrinkable). Luckily, Vancouver is filled with great coffee shops so it was an easy fix. Breakfast gets a little crowded and was ok (did the job but nothing amazing). The weekday dinner (BBQ) was a nice touch and not crowded like breakfast.

Great hotel, would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. It is in an area with many restaurants and within 3 blocks of the bus line. The rooms are large and well kept. Although it is a little pricey, everything in Vancouver is expensive and the Residence Inn is first class. Definitely worth a look.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. It's in a great location, handy for Stanley Park, Yaletown and Granville Island.
We had a Queen suite, it was very well equipped, with a clean, modern bathroom and kitchen.
Great choice at the breakfast buffet. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room at the end of the corridor, nice and quiet.

Another great hotel...from the entertaining front desk staff to the warm housekeepers...all are doing an excellent job to keep the hotel looking and feeling like home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...suite had everything one would need...

It was spacious enough.

We walked to the Stanley park from the hotel. Also my rental car pick up point was just a block away.

Lovely hotel....

This was a good choice on our extended trip with two nights here. Had a balcony room with a wonderful view and a glorious sunset. Comfortable, great breakfast, convenient location for sightseeing walks and good preparation for a seven day Alaskan cruise. Staff were like friends and helped us on our first visit here.

Had the opportunity to stay in Vancouver for one night before boarding a cruise ship the next day and i was absolutely amazed at the level of service that was provided to us. Daniel at the front desk was great at making us feel right at home and was our one-stop-shop for all questions about things to do in Vancouver. The rooms were quite nice and the staff even nicer! I would definitely recommend this to any traveler looking to stay in the city.

Room Tip: Check out the free breakfast. Very good food.

The Marriott's Residence Inn in Downtown Vancouver has everything you need to enjoy a stay in the city. The staff is friendly and helpful; in fact, they let us check in early with no extra fee. The rooms are spacious and our king size bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed: plates, cups, silverware, bowls, pans, pots, dish soap, pot holders, sink, stove, frig, freezer, etc. I like that they use Paul Mitchell hair shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. The flat screen TV was great, too, as was the desk and easy chair. The bathroom was spacious. The location is good and taxi's were waiting outside and the hop-on/hop-off city bus comes to the front door. (If you have limited time in Vancouver, take a taxi, don't waste money on the bus ticket. You'll save time and money with the taxi.) The breakfast buffet had a nice selection and the food was tasty. Their restaurant had good food, as well. We didn't go in the pool or gym, but others were in there and looked like they were enjoying themselves. I would definitely stay here again.
