“Given the incorrect room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2006

I reserved a room(as a SPG member)with a King-Sized Bed but was given a room with two beds. When I phoned down to the reservation desk, the lady told me that there were no more rooms with King sized beds left. It would've been nice to have received an apology up-front instead of having to make a complaint or being 'unpleasantly surprised.' Perhaps they didn't think I would complain? The next day, I was placed in the proper room but it was a hassle having to change rooms.

I probably wouldn't stay there again just because of the experience mentioned above. However, the Hotel Spa was great.

My husband and i satyed at the Sheraton from the 25th - 29th June following our alaska cruise. We arrived and were greeted by a porter who took our luggage. we arrived at 9.15am and we werent expecting to be able to check in this early, we just wanted to leave our luggage while we explored the city. The receptioist told us that our room wasnt ready and that we would need to come back at 3pm. we got back at 3 and the room wasnt ready. We went to their bar after a long day and waitied another hour and half before the room was ready. we weren't even often anything to drink for the waiting aound. The room was ok, not worth what we paid for it. We had no problems except when it came to our bill. there was an amount of $39.44 which is not ours and we are still waiting for it to be removed. Apparently this happens quite a lot, i wonder if staff ever ask for evidence that its actually your room they should be charging too or whether a customer can just say any room number and get away with charging it to someone elses room.

Prior to the cruise we spent a night in a different hotel, St Regis, its only a 2 star hotel and it was fantastic & we even got breakfast included.

You can defiently find better hotels and better value for money in Vancouver than the Sheraton hotel

What a magnificent property. Stayed for three nights at the end of June 2006. Beautiful view with floor to ceiling windows, excellent location right in the heart of a lovely city, huge lobby with first class service. Starbucks inside on the lower lobby (which I very much enjoyed). Chose to pay $20 plus tax per day to valet my car, which I thought was a little steep. Otherwise this hotel was splendid... I'd return in a heartbeat.

Stopped here for two nights at the end of May. We had a suite on the 19th floor of the north tower. We would have had wonderful views of the ocean and mountains but for the cloud that seemed to hug the mountains the whole time we were in Vancouver.
The room was very clean, spacious and modern.

The only slight complaint we had was when we were checking out after picking our hire car up the lady on reception tried to charge us $20 just to park and put our luggage in the car.

On a recent visit to Vancouver as part of a trip around the West of Canada, myself and my partner had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Wall Centre for 4 nights.

Without a doubt, this hotel was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed, in fact the Sheraton Group hotels lived upto their name not only here but in Calgary Eau Clair Suites at the end of the trip aswell.

The hotel is superb and it's rates were excellent. Yes you can find cheaper, but you simply pay for what you get in Canada and this hotel simply excelled in both comfort and service. The staff and front office reception were both friendly and helpful and the consierge offered a very efficient and professional service.

The hotel is plush, clean and modern with excellent facilities including a great pool and Jacuzzi. The rooms are large and offer fantastic views over the high rise scrappers of downtown Vancouver with additional views over the mountains and bay area depending on the direction from your room. We stayed in a non smoking room on the 31st floor and simply couldn't complain. However, if you don't like heights, then maybe a lower floor would suite as the floor to ceilng windows offer a full wall panorama of the city and there's absolutely no doubt as to the height of the room!

Rooms were clean promptly and on time and the room facilities and complimentaries are great. You receive a daily newspaper at no charge and each room has a safe in the cupboard for your valuables without additional charges.

The beds are very comfortable and large with luxurious duvet and pillows. The room has cable television, internet access and movies on demand.

Getting there from the airport is easy by cab or shuttle bus and costs around $25CDN. The shuttle to the airport leaves outside the door and so do all the sightseeing excursions which can be booked from reception. If you aim to take a late flight, the hotel will look after your cases and bags if you have to check out before you intend to leave Vancouver.

Great Hotel and Great place to visit...Vancouver really is a lovely place to visit and the hotel made the stay even more special. We paid about $190 per night but it was truly worth it and would certainly return. My score 10/10

Stayed at this hotel through Club Intrawest. Nice views--floor to ceiling windows. Not much to really criticize but not much to rave about either. The room (a one bedroom suit) was tiny. Teeny tiny. We are accustomed to an accomodation with at least a kitchen. Here we had a microwave but that is all. Also, internet access was only provided for a fee. The restaurant in the South Tower -- Indigo-- was very good with excellent service and delectible treats. Would more than likely look to alternate arrangements next time as overall I felt that I could surely do better dollar for dollar elsewhere.

We chose the Wall Center because of the views of the city and the loacation. We asked for a room in the North Tower as high up as possible. When we checked in the desk person announced they had us on the tenth floor over looking plaza. We were able to get a partial water view on the 23rd floor of the South Tower after complaining.
The room was large, but dated and worn. The carpet was badly frayed at the seams and furniture. It was hardly a deluxe setting. The people we encountered were all helpful and courteous, except for the check-in clerk.
Most everything is in the North Tower ( Bar,Breakfast,Starbucks), so it would be best to be there as it has the great views the other reviewers talked of.
Over all I think the South Tower was overpriced and over rated. If you can't get a North Tower room high up, go somewhere else. There are alot of great hotels without a view in this beautiful city.
