“beware small room problem”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Overall this hotel deserves a three or four star rating unless you get one of the small rooms as we did. If you review some of the lower ratings on this hotel, you will find that those travelers ended up in a very small room as we did. The room was so small that it did not even have room for a chair to sit in. We booked by Expedia. There are larger rooms which will provide a better experience.

From arriving in the lobby, we were so well looked after by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were very early for check in and this was accomodated well - with a brief check and then we were able to access the room (as it was available). The room was well appointed, internet was easily accessible and the water, free phone calls .... just add to the desire to write this review.
We would gladly stay again.

This is a really nice hotel - we stayed for 7 nights and were sorry to leave. Check in was smooth and trouble free, staff were really friendly and helpful which was great after a long flight. Rooms are very nicely finished, free calls home are great, and is very quiet on the fifth floor which means a great nights sleep. The breakfast is really huge with good choice available. Location is also really good, within walking distance of main shopping streets, good pubs and restaurants and water bus to the north shore. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone booking a hotel in Vancouver.

We stayed there 1 night after a cruise. It was wonderful experience. The bed was so comfortable and the people can not do enough for you. Great extras of free water and free International phone calls. The included breakfast was delicious. Cooked fresh to order eggs, waffles and more, absolutely wonderful. Hopefully we will get back to Vancouver again and will definitely stay at the St. Regis. It is also very convenient and within walking distance to a lot of attractions and the hop-on and off buses to all the other attractions. Just make sure to give yourself a little extra time if you are catching a flight since there is only 1 small elevator.

We really enjoyed our stay on July 17. Ther were 3 of us so we were quite comfortable one night in the Jr. Queen suite with sofa bed and they upgraded us to the deluxe suite for lithe second night which was also wonderful. They serve a full cooked to order breakfast and we ate at both the sports bar and the Gotham restaurant and both were delicious.

The staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Free internet and phone calls (which is unheard of in most high end hotels) was soooo nice and convenient. Especially because I live in the States. The FREE made-to-order breakfast is incredible! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The location is great as well.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are a bit more spacious.
