“Beautiful walking trails - be sure to get a map”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

It is rather easy to get turned around in here if you do not have a map, because this park is huge. It is lovely and tranquil.

“As quiet as you can get while still in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Pacific Spirit park is my favourite place to go inside of Vancouver. If you get start at the beginning of the park and eventually walk to Wreck or Tower Beach, you will find yourself in a forest of huge cedars, moss, and... total quietness! It's amazing how few people seem to spend time in Pacific Spirit. I would often walk for half an hour and not see a soul, which for me, is quite nice! Things pick up a bit once you get closer to the beaches. Wreck Beach is my favourite summer spot, and getting to walk their through the park instead of the university is an extra treat. There are so many paths and hidden beaches to explore. Hiiiiighly reccommend!

“Simpe hike, and beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

If you are looking for a simple hike, a run in the forest, and just being with nature, this place is for you. A free place that you can have peace and soak up the fresh air. Try to listen to the sounds of the forest rather than your iPod. In fact the RCMP have issued a warning against using iPod for safety reasons (so you can hear anyone approaching you). Avoid going on your own. Best to stick to the trail. It is ok, in general, but unsafe incidents have taken place, so take care.

“Urban sanctuary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

This urban park bordering the UBC campus is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of a big modern city. Excellent all-weather paths wind through the secondary growth forest with many access points...walk, stroll, jog or bike the many, many kilometres...your dog will love it too.
