I just returned home this morning and wanted to add my two cents about this property. For starters, this hotel has the rudest, least accomodating staff I have ever seen (and I travel extensively). The hotel was full when I checked in and I was not able to get into my room until 6:00pm local time. I had been traveling for over 10 hours and needed to clean up before a 6:30 meeting. I tried to get a temporary room to shower and change in, but they had nothing for me. I had to go to the public restroom at the hotel to clean up and put a suit on. Once I got my room it had a view of the roof construction (they started banging at about 7:45 A.M) My room was nothing special- My advice; try the pan pacific or fairmont down the street, they are the same price range and much nicer.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days prior to a Princess cruise in July. The location was wonderful, near Stanley Park and right on the water. We stayed in a balcony room with a city view. The only view we had was of workmen on a roof. This room should not be sold as a room with a view. The room was clean and the bed had a great Heavenly mattress. For the money I felt that the room was somewhat small in comparison to other Westin properties we have stayed at recently. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was very enjoyable. We went for a late dinner at the smaller on sight restaurant and were ignored by our waiter. Interesting because the place was almost empty. The concierge was wonderful. She arranged a number of tours for us and they were all wonderful. I have to agree with other reviewers that being away from the busy downtown area is nice. Would we stay here again? Yes, specifically for the location. We also ate at a wonderful restaurant next door....Cadeiro's. It was relaxed, reasonably priced with a nice menu.

This hotel is in a great location on the Bay, walking distance to Stanley Park, fine restaurants, Robson Street shopping, and Gastown. You couldn't ask for better. The price in American dollars in reasonable for what you get, and worth the extra to be away from the tourist traffic, yet in the middle of everything. We didn't use the pool and fitness center for lack of time, but they both looked top of the line!

Service was friendly but not overbearing. The lobby was expansive and welcoming, without feeling like you could get lost.

The rooms were great. We were 3 women traveling together, so we had a room with two double beds, and a folding cot - the room accommodated the three beds very nicely. The mattresses are to die for - plush, yet firm enough.

All in all, a "highly recommend" from one in the know!

“Heavenly Hotel”

Booked it on Hotwire for CDN100/night for Memorial Day weekend. Got a room in the Towers wing. Highly recommend requesting a room in the Towers. Very clean hotel, nice room, king size bed, balcony overlooking the Marina and the hills. Decent bathroom, Starbucks coffee in room, the Heavenly Bed. Just a great experience. Nice breakfast buffet, though we just walked to the Bojangles Cafe about a block along the water. Parking was expensive, so we parked on the street at night. The street parking is actually closer than the hotel underground parking, and it is free till 9am. Great hotel location. Denman street is where all the nice restaurants are located, and Robson is for shopping. The only thing bad is there is no free Wi-Fi, even in the lobby.

This was the overall most enjoyable hotel I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in probably 200 or so in every part of the world, some of which were quite literally fit for roylaty.

Rooms bright & airy, value for money excellent, location superb, amenities superb. I particularly liked the ability to specify when you wanted your room serviced each day. I would have absolutely no hesitation in staying again.
