Our original reservations were for the Grand Residence section of the hotel but for some reason it was not available so they gave us a suite and adjoining room in the main hotel which was quite nice, probably better than the Grand Residence, minus the kitchenette. Restaurants are within walking distance, as are shops, museums, and the hot dog cart, "Japadog" with the Japanese influenced hot dogs, on the corner of Burrard & Smythe. The swimming pool and huge jacuzzi are in the basement of the Grand Residence, but it is a short walk through the hotel to the Grand Residence. The Vida Spa is one of the better ones that I have gone to and they do give very good treatments, although a little pricey. Wi-fi is not free in this hotel, but you can go across the street to a coffee shop where it is free. The daily price of the rooms fluctuated with the occupancy which was something I never heard of, but the price never exceeded the quoted price when reservations were made. Would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again.
