Third beach was actually busy today. It was dry, people out walking, cycling and picnicking. A wonderful afternoon out.

My cousin (a local) took us here one evening before a movie in the park. There was a drum rave going on up the beach, but just watching the sun set while dipping in and out of the water was amazing. Its a great place to sit and think in good company.
Its just a (dirty) beach, another beach with sand. Whats so special about it I don't know, the view is along the whole seawall not just here.
The beaches generally are not that great: fairly dirty with off-white sand. Views are good though and when the sun isn't obscured by clouds Third Beach is a good vantage point.
We love having the logs to lean back against when we are on the beach.
Great view of downtown Vancouver makes for a good photo op.
Lots of people watching, and its nice to see everyone having fun and relaxing.
There is a burger shack close by, within walking distance.
This beach is an incredible stopping point if you are walking the Stanley Park seawall. Pick up a bottle of wine, some cheese, and prosciutto before you go and watch the sunset...its incredible! We rented bikes specifically to get to this beach and drank wine while taking in the local vibes. Very cool crowd, good swimming, beautiful scenery!
