“Good Location, but Internet should be free”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The Location is great, everything is quite near. Our room was very big. But of you are near the elevator, you can hear the sound of it. There is a Starbucks in the same building and there are a lot of Restaurants in the neighbourhood. But as most five star hotels, they charge a lot for Internet. But of you go down, near Starbucks, you can use their free internet.

...then this is a hotel for you!

positives:
- did i mention the view?
- great location, pretty much within walking distance to foods, tour buses/rides
- nice decks (i mean, the hotel decks where they put the giant sails)
- feels like you're in a cruise ship
- great valet service

negatives:
- dirty bathroom; tiny toilet
- room furniture looks torn and old
- rude frontdesk personnels
- the check-in counter, elevators, are somewhat confusing
- no free wifi (unless you tap into starbucks' wifi nearby by the entrance)

be prepared to bring loose change, it's Vancouver!!! parking needs to be handled by valet - they're quick & responsive. one guy that leaves a very good impression is Jason(?) - his picture is inside the hotel's elevators. a great guy.

Central, luxurious, an ever vigilant staff has helped us have some epic parties on our way through my old home town. The suites are wonderful, especially if you can get one with a terrace. Had a gathering of about 20 old friends for cocktails and a buffet. All planned and ordered with warm dishes etc and then the power blew out in the Downtown area. They managed to regroup a cold buffet with sushi, cold cuts and prawn cocktails while setting up with candles because of night and no power. Very good price/performance!

Room Tip: Always ask for a room with a view of the Harbour and the North Shore

Visited Vancouver in July and was looking forward to the hotel we booked and have to say was not disappointed at all. A great location right in the heart of the city and overlooking the bay, it is within easy walking distance of the main shopping areas and Gastown area (a great place for bars and restaurants) Stanley Park is on your doorstep and well worth a walk through.

The hotel rooms are large and well appointed and have everything you would expect from a top hotel. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within the hotel and the standard of food is excellent breakfast is well worth getting up for. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I would certainly come back to this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone who wants that extra bit of comfort and luxury.

Room Tip: Booked through TRailfinders and got a free upgrade to a sea view, great views.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

We stayed at the Pan Pacific for 5 nights in October 2012. It is a large hotel, attached to the convention center. The amenities are excellent including a number of restaurants serving good food, a lounge with a worldclass view of the harbor, and a fabulous outdoor pool. The beds are so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning. At lunch one day I couldn't decide between two entrees so the waitress offered to put together a half order of each so I could try both. Now that's service! The spa looks lovely but the prices were outrageous so I gave it a pass and got my nails done at the shopping mall across the street. Would definitely stay here again. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a harbor view room.

We decided to splurge and stay right downtown on the waterfront. Hotel is very big, you surely cannot beat this location, a busy place with lots of people, good people watching. Hotel was quite well organized despite how much was going on. It is also a convention facility which might be why it was so busy. The check in took a bit too long but in the end we settled in and really enjoyed the stay. We did not rent a car, just took the airport shuttle. One does not need to rent a car to enjoy downtown Van. A short taxi will get you anywhere. Nearby Gastown is just a short walk with lots of stores and everything under the sun. Our room had a nice view of the north shore and bay.
A bit pricey but staying at a really fancy place with room service is a must once in a blue moon.
Good place if you care to spend a bit more, the location saves on renting a car if you need to be downtown
HAPPY TRAVELS KN

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the north or west side as they have the best views. Check out Gastown, its only 5...
