We were fortunate enough to find the Potts Suite at Rand House available for our stay last week and it was fantastic. The location of this 2-bedroom apartment is ideal for exploring the city; a short walk to English Bay, Stanley Park and into the core of downtown. It has the charm of being in a residential area but just minutes on foot to the heart of the business district. The historic house is really charming and the owners have restored it with care and style. They have not overlooked anything and facilities here are terrific: new appliances in a fully functional kitchen, wireless internet, laundry, and state of the art entertainment equipment (some of which, in truth, was too sophisticated for us to figure out!).

The apartment is ideal for a family or close friends - it is not hugely spacious but there is ample room for 4 people to live comfortably. Bedrooms are not that big, but they are perfectly adequate and have great closets and storage space. There's just one full bathroom but the second WC is great to have. Rain-shower and soaker tub are indulgent features. The furniture is elegant and stylish but also comfortable. The Queen beds are absolutely divine... made it really hard to get out of bed every day.

Last but not least the owners provide really comprehensive information not just about the apartment itself but on things to do nearby, where to eat, and basically just a wonderful guide to making the place feel like home during your stay. Having worked with many rental properties over the years I would say the information given is superior to most other places I have experienced.

I would highly recommend this for business travellers, families and folks hoping for a great spot to stay during their coveted Olympic experience.
