“One Word - Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2010

Great facility, close to downtown, great view of North Shore mountains. Food is especially good in-house at Preston's. Hotel staff are friendly and efficient. Catering in-hotel is superb. Fresh flowers everywhere. Great value. Delighted.

From the minute I arrived at the hotel I was offered excellent customer service within the Coast Coal Harbour's clean, modern and relaxing environment. The new hotel has done an excellent job of building a climate of professionalism, functionality and intuitive service - all the while ensuring sustainable practices are in place. The Coast truly achieves 'service with a smile'; I really didn't come across any staff members that weren't smiling and incredibly pleasant to converse with. And the food! Hotel food is often mediocre at best, but Prestrons Restaurant Chef Allessandro Vianello's dishes are fresh, interesting, flavourful, and well presented. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone booking for business or pleasure.

Coast Coal Harbour is to be commended for their impressive service in every category. Liaising with their professional and knowledgeable staff to coordinate our association's needs was easy and efficient. The rooms were attractive and fresh, clean and relaxing and the food was remarkable - certainly not your typical hotel fare - nothing but praise to the chef. I appreciated the prompt and friendly efforts the staff went to attend to our last minute requests; they understand the importance of quality customer service and attention to the finest details.
I compliment the Coast Coal Harbour and Thank you. - Very Impressive

Stayed at the Coast for a weekend board retreat and they treated us like superstars. So impressed with the service, all the smiles and the beautiful hotel. Food was amazing in the meetings and in the restaurant.

Beds and rooms are good, and that is the only positive I can say about this hotel.
Most staff-members had apparently no idea that they were there for the guests, and not the other way around.
Breakfast is poor and way too expensive, 8 CAD for tea of coffee, half a strawberry, 3 small ( 1 by 3 inches ) slices of melon, one croissant and one item that vaguely reminded me of a muffin, plate-served.
No decent lobby.
Certainly NOT staying here again.

We were greeted by very friendly staff and checked in fast and efficient. The room was very clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect, only a block from the waterfront, restaurants, grocery store and coffee shops. The restaurant had great food as well as our breakfast we ordered from room service. We used the pool one day and it was very nice, the gym looked great as well. We took the Canada Line from the airport which was very convenient, it was only a 10 minute walk to the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights at the end of May and could not fault anything. The staff were all friendly, pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and bathroom well laid out. Everywhere is clean and well kept.
We ate the first night at the bar and enjoyed the food so much we ate in their restaurant on the second night. The food was well presented and flavoursome and the service excellent.
The hotel is in a good area and within walking distance of most things.
We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again should we go back to Vancouver.
