This boutique hotel is without hesitation, the best choice we have ever made for the price we paid. Everyone in the staff was nice. It's really clean. You feel at home it your room. We had one on the fifth floor (555) with a really nice private terrace, that we didn't expect, and a cute little fireplace. The breakfast is really affordable for an hotel (15$/person) the choice of food is good and the coffee is great... what more to ask? The gym is also really interesting. If we ever come back to Vancouver, we will choose this place again.

We had a wonderful experience during our 5-night stay at L'hermitae. The staff were courteous, incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in all areas. The room was superb and breakfast each day included croissant from France - absolutely delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to our family and friends. It's a 10 as far as we are concerned. There is no full service restaurant as yet, but this will change by the end of the year.

This hotel may be the best value in Vancouver. We found it on Tripadvisor, and it was everything we expected and more. We had a one bedroom suite, with a fully equipped
kitchen, including dishwasher, washer and dryer ($247 including tax). After 4 nights on the train from Toronto, we really appreciated the ability to do our laundry. We could have cooked complete meals, but chose to make our own breakfast, the odd lunch and had the occasional glass of wine. There is a corner grocery store, and a private liquor store nearby, but beware--the markup is about double the BC liquor store price.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. We preferred a regular coffee maker rather than the espresso machine that was in the kitchen, and one was provided within minutes.
Front desk staff were quick to offer suggestions, book a taxi, or give directions.

We like to walk and found the location to be perfect. Minutes from Robson, 20 minutes from Stanley Park, less to Gastown and 10 min. to Yaletown restaurants (try The Bluewater Cafe).

All in all, I can't say enough about this place. Next time we are in Vancouver, we will
definitely stay here.

Fantastic boutique hotel with the little things you expect from a larger chain hotel but often don't get. The room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly. We didn't have a room with a kitchenette, but ours was still very large. We had a private balcony which is such a bonus in a big city - meant we could open up the door and let in some fresh air. Location good - central to city (Robson Street) and waterfront. Loved the free wi-fi in the room. Fantastic value - we payed $CAD 185 per night plus tax. It was no problem to shorten our stay upon arrival (without penalty) as our plans changed and we decided to venture on to Whistler for a few nights. We would definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel! Excellent in every single aspect.

Staff is great, helpful and nice, our room was great (looked even better and cozier than in the website), and location is fantastic.

We stayed here for a week and throughout our stay excellence was consistent.

This Boutique type Hotel is elegant in its presentation and was a great place to stay a few days. Some rooms have permanent apartment dwellers who stayed out of sight. The exercise lounge, steam room, and pools were a nice amenities and clean. Business office and library was nice. The rooms were spacious, equipped with electronic fireplace and had ample niceties. Bathrooms were spacious and relatively safe. The marble floors were slippery when wet so caution is required. There are tons of places to eat and shop all around the area, yet not really too busy outside because the front is located on a one-way. We slept with the windows open and the fans off. The valet parking was nice, but was an expense (everything in Vancouver is an expense). Its next to the WESTIN, but is smaller and much more quaint.
The people working there try the best to give you anything you need, but remember, they are doing their best when something does not go right or cannot be fixed. We loved the presentation of the room and notes of welcome from the manager. I did the breakfast once and the waitress' were excellent and made you feel at home. The food was good for a business traveler, but I was vacationing and wanted a bit more so I only ate there once.
Overall, my wife & I was pleasantly surprised by the nice accommodations.
