Owner description: Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above. Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

“The boardwalk trail was fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Walking through the forest on the boardwalk trail felt like being in a fairyland...up and down sturdy but crickitty looking stairs through an old growth forest was amazing. Then coming out on a beach with clear pristine water. The highlight of our trip to Tofino.

My husband and I are in our sixties and had no problem with the almost two mile (round trip) hike.

“what an experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

You have to see this when in tofino.
It`s a one km walk thru the forrest. The walk way is a wooden board walk , and it is so cool. (excellent for a good workout.)
Scooner Bay was very cool to see, fab beach and islands. you need the Pacific rim Park Pass to stop in the park ( for Long Beach too)

“Paddling in the Pacific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

We were the only people on the beach and it was such a beautiful place reached by a boardwalk through a lovely forested area. The water was freezing but who cared?

“Beautiful Rainforest Trail aiming at the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Like the rainforest trail it was a very romantic wooden walkway through the rainforest which takes you to Schooner Cove in the end. The beach is wide and wild. Trail is just 2km (return) and quite frequented. We were the first one's though at 9.15am. Cougar warning and hazardous wave warnings worried us more than necessary. You have to be aware to eventually deal with one of them though.
