We stayed at one of the beach cottages in October 2013 for 2 days and had an exceptional visit. The cottages are well appointed and clean. The kitchen had absolutely anything anyone, even a gourmet chef, would need in terms of pots, pans, dishes or electrical devices. Towels and rain gear were conveniently waiting by the door since we were visiting during the storm watching season. But there were also things we loved and didn't expect like candles, robes and incredible eucalyptus bath salts.
We were here on a belated honeymoon and the staff went out of their way to make it special. All staff were extremely helpful and polite, but we want to highlight Alaina and her manager Jasmin who were super wonderful. We highly recommend this resort. B and R

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Pacific Sands Beach resort. What a lovely spot. We had a one bedroom oceanfront suite, on the upper level where we could watch the surfers while sitting on the balcony. The unit was clean, spacious and comfortable, and having a full kitchen was great for breakfast and making our own dinner a couple of nights. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, as well as popcorn, and 2 coupons for specialty coffees, waiting in the suite. The beach is wonderful for long walks, and other beaches and town are close by. We were fortunate to have lovely weather, and my friend even tried surfing with Surf Sisters. Overall a very nice visit, and a resort I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return to.

Beautiful clean hotel right on the beach. We stayed with another couple in a 2 bedroom unit. Tons of room for 4 people. We didn't use the kitchen but should have as it was pricey to eat out all the time. Next time! Desk / reception people were friendly and helpful. We didn't have a pet.... had I known that they try to put the people with pets at the one end I would have specified when I booked that we would be without our 4 legged friends. Oh well. We were in unit #35 and it was ok but better views as the unit numbers decreased. Would also go for a unit with a hot tub next time. Didn't know until just before we left and then it was too late as it was Thanksgiving weekend and they were booked solid. Beach was absolutely perfect!! Hard sand which was good for walking. If you want some munchies in your unit/room don't buy at the hotel office. Very expensive!

Room Tip: when booking decide if you want a great view or just a good view. Studio units have a great view...

We were lucky to stay here AND the weather was beautiful - warm and sunny, a most unusual occurrance for the Tofino area. If you are not familiar with the Tofino-Ucluelet area, it is usually rainy and/or overcast, so be mentally prepared. However, when the weather's bad, the surf's up and spectacular. This resort is hard to beat. The location on Cox Bay is perfect and the resort itself it very inviting. It's for sale by its original owners, so let's hope whoever buys it will keep it at its current high level of cleanliness, comfort and friendliness. We will be staying here again.

We have been to this great resort 6 times now and really enjoy staying there. This was the first time that we stayed in the beach lodge building. The view to the ocean was great. Only about 100 feet away from the ocean.

Suites are well equipped with full kitchen and spacious living area.

Front desk and other staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: Depends a lot on what you are looking for. A really luxurious experience is the 2 bedroom beach fron...

Fantastic coastal location, small and quiet resort, stayed for 5 nights. Ground floor 1 bedroom seaview suite, small kitchen, living room with sofa bed, but just the right size. Enjoyed seating outside which looked out to the sea for drinks and eating, plenty of space for the kids to play safely on the green. Probably the best beach location in Tofino, large, sandy, stunning - surfers paradise. There are no restaurants or bars on site but they provided free transport to and from Tofino when required so it worked out fine for us whether we were going shopping, on bear/whale watching trips or eating out. Did lay on one BBQ night where local chef came in and you brought you own drink - this proved a great opportunity to meet other families. Very friendly staff and great service provided

This was our second time to Tofino (stayed at a private beach cottage with our young kids on Chesterman in 2004) and we chose Pacific Sands for its beachfront location, kitchens, fireplace, good reviews and overall good value. We were not disappointed. We had an upper beachfront suite; the bath was a little small and dated, but the rest was spacious, bright and nicely furnished. I noticed some musty odor on entry, easily aired out, which may have been caused by the resort's welcoming pet policy. The kitchen was small but well-supplied. The view from our balcony was outstanding! And all the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. There are bikes to rent, board games and DVDs to borrow. Gardens are meticulously maintained, very nice, and the walk out to Pettinger Point is not to be missed, a lovely bonus to the property. We had considered going next door to Long Beach resort for a dinner out, but looking at the prices (menus for local restaurants are available at reception), and seeing that many of the raves on TA were for the restaurant's view, we decided to eat in and enjoy our own very same, private view from Pacific Sands.

Room Tip: The upper beachfront rooms have great views from the balconies (and from the inside living area), an...
