“fun trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We really enjoyed our kayak trip with Thorsten and Arne. The flyer was already very cool and the trip was, too. Thorsten´s instructions before the trip were very funny. The equipment was great and our guides gave great explenations to everything we saw. Thorsten for example explianed everything about the sea star he found. On the island where we had a hike through the rain forest Arne told us a lot of very interesting details. With the achieved knowledge we hiked through the rain forest with a lot more understanding for the rest of our trip.
We can highly recommand this experience.

“TJ and Team ROCK!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

my husband and I had NEVER kayaked together - and only briefly individually. I was sure we would capsize or kill one another. NEITHER!! TJ gives great instruction so even if you have never kayaked you will have a great time!! He is very educated about the area and goes out of his way to share information. This is the perfect way to site see around the island - eagles, otters, other birds, amazing trees - perfect for couples, families or someone on their own!!

“One of the highlights of our trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

What a fantastic experience! We were lucky enough to end up having a 2.5 hour tour to ourselves on a beautiful day in Tofino. TJ was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, who was very patient with us as this was our first kayaking experience. He took us on a stunning route around some of the islands in the inlet, where we saw some wonderful wildlife and scenery.

Before getting into the brand new two seater kayak TJ gave us safety advice and manoeuvring tips, which gave us confidence before we headed out. He has obviously immersed himself in the culture and community of the area and was able to give us numerous local insights and anecdotes.

“Excellent Introduction to Kayaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We took three generations out on the 4.5 hour trip, which included a visit to Meares island. It finished around 8.45 pm in the evening and paddling back in the fading light was magical. Our group consisted of two grandparents, two kids (9 and 11) and two parents. The equipment was excellent and the care and attention paid to all our group (some of whom were initially unsure of the trip) by TJ and Arne was exemplary. This really was an excellent tour and it would be difficult to think of how it could be improved upon.

“Lots of fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Went for the 4 hour tour with TJ, his dog and Arne. Had a great time paddling around the islands in one or two person kayaks. Stopped for a walk through the forest on Meares island. Equipment was new and in great shape, the guides were fun, friendly and had some good stories to share about the area.. Ended up getting back late, making it close to a 5 hour excursion - pack a snack as there aren't any provided, although they do take pictures and put them up on their website.
This is a easy kayaking trip, experience isn't necessary, and those looking for a more strenuous type of kayaking adventure may want to look at a different trip.
