Stayed here with my husband in winter using Hotwire (Expedia). Hotwire advertised a slashed rate of 265.00/night, "75% off Winter Sale", and I so I purchased for 66.00/night. What a deal right? Turns out the Marina West has a regular rate of 69.00/night, so I saved a whopping 3 bucks. Lesson for ya -- don't book through Hotwire. They refused to change our reservation once we saw the lame "deal" we got, despite contacting the BBB. The Marina West is a very average large motel on a giant parking lot overlooking a marina. We got a room without a bathtub and asked to switch to a room with a tub. The front desk did so at a $10 upgrade (queen room with fireplace). Our new room had a tub but the fireplace was broken (had an Out of Order sign on it). We were frustrated with the whole situation and just stayed put. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at a decent budget motel. I would definitely suggest that the Marina West sort out why Hotwire is advertising their motel as such a great Tofino deal when it actually is a 3.00 savings - it just leads to disappointed guests before they've even arrived.
