“Great Food in a Cool Setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2010

The only way you can go wrong at the Treehouse is if you sit out in their new covered patio in the middle of winter ... you'll be cold! But otherwise you'll love this creative and artsy place. It's perfect for a Salt Spring Island visit. And the three times I ate there - I had nothing but excellent food. There are plenty of great vegetarian choices as well as other fare. In the winter their soups are AMAZING! Flavours you wouldn't think would go together are combined for a great taste experience. Personally I think it's a must visit when you're on the Island.

“Creative tiny space with real charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2010

You've got to have an open mind to get Tree House. The restaurant building itself is a tiny antique storehouse, I think, and has barely enough room to stand up in. But they've built (and finally enclosed) a substantial deck space out of curvy handfitted arbutus branches. It's almost a fantasy environment. The atmosphere is EXTREMELY casual but exceeds expectations.

Delicious food and a real surprise how many menu items they can produce in such a ridiculously tiny kitchen. The soups and burgers are oddly good. It's always a pleasure to eat here.

“Very Slow Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2010

The food is pretty good, but it's very slow on a Saturday lunchtime. Waited 20 mins to get in, then another 45mins for food to arrive.

“Amazing food, fun staff and wonderful entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2010

There is a delight selection on the menu for everyone, my friend is vegan and she was over the moon to find more than 8 choices for her to try.(she went for a squash stew that looked heavenly and smelled even better). The sandwiches are on the most glorious bread, cut thick and filled with the freshest ingredients, and the salads, mohitos and margaritas rocked.....as did the music in the evening.
Great place to eat, drink or just people watch in Ganges.

“Excellent food, great atmosphere, veggie-friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2010

We went to Treehouse twice during our four-night stay on Salt Spring Island: once for lunch and once for dinner. We had the best meals of our stay here -- the food was tasty, good options for vegetarians, ingredients were fresh. We had the veggie burger, the ceasar salad with salmon, the bean/squash stew and the squash quesadilla. All were first-rate.

It's a really cool building they've constructed, and nice patio seating. It's a great location. There's live music every night -- it was open-mic night when we went, which was really fun. Prices are reasonable compared to the other restaurants on the island.
