Located in Cow Bay it was one of the best restaurants we found in Prince Rupert during our three day stay the food was fresh and the price was right.

“Late night feed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Arrived in PR late Friday night - and was able to get food served here until 9-9.30pm - a great feat during the off season
Variety great from wraps to burgers to fish & chips and soups (all served with beer - and the Breakers lager tasted great too)

“What's happened to Breakers?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

This used to be a great spot for food, service and views. The only thing left is the view. W were the Sept 16th for a 2 pm lunch...a few tables filled, but no big deal. Forty minutes later, we have our two bowls of soup, cheese sandwich and fish/chips and a crying waitress. It appears the kitchen is screwing up and gave her hell.

The halibut was cut thin enough to see thru, if it weren't for the Panko and slaw was bland.....

Too bad..this used to be and still ought to be, a great spot. It's not anymore.

“Good Food - TERRIBLE Service!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

I am new to Rupert and took some clients here for lunch today. Most of the tables were empty but all were dirty so we carried on through the main area to the 'sun room'. Great views - really nice atmosphere and thankfully that helped kill some time while we waited for a server to acknowledge us - perhaps one of the three that we walked by on our way through? I finally went and got some menus and shortly after that a young woman came to our table and did not greet us or smile but instead said 'did you even tell anyone you were back here?!?'. Didn't know a check in was required.

My clients both ordered coffee and one ordered water with lemon. The drinks were delivered with no smile or discussion - she forgot the lemon and shrugged and said 'oh i guess i forgot your lemon' and walked away. Food was served with similar lack of interest, we were not asked if we needed anything else and she never did come back - not even to refill the coffee. When i finally went and got the pot she looked at me but did not acknowledge or offer to come and refill the coffee herself.

The food was really very good - the menu offers some great options with a nice mix of pub food and slightly better. If they want to keep business they better review their service quality - perhaps from management right on down!

Was my first visit and it will be my last.

“Great food, great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

My husband and I visited for lunch. It was a beautiful, warm day and we sat by the large windows. The views of the water, and the boats, were picture perfect. The serving staff was attentive and provided good service. The pub provided a nice atmosphere with a cabin-like setting. The lunch crowd was lively. I had the beef dip; my husband had fish and chips. Both were excellent, and the portions were huge! A little pricy for lunch, but well worth it. I will definitely return.
