“Reliable and Clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Usually I book at the Crest but they were full this time. Pacific Inn was a great alternative. The great staff really made the difference. They were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable. Great value for the money.

We had a great stay here in January 2014 in the family suite. It's hard to find a place that can accomodate 2 adults and 3 children under 7 years of age and they did it perfectly. Two seperate rooms with a dividing door; the kids had a bunk bed, double bed and even a playpen if required. Located on the first level with an elevator as soon as you enter from the underground parking. We had no issue with noise from any neighbors or traffic as it is in the back overlooking Fishermans's building. (not a room for view but well suited for quiet). Staff are very friendly and helpful and effecient. Carpets are well worn but, they are being replaced. Loved it and will be returning in March to stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are quieter but, no scenery if you want a view. We found our rooms quite large and...

Tony T803,

Thank-you for your recent review of our property and I am pleased to hear that your entire family enjoyed their stay with us. This particular suite is fairly new and are still working on areas that would be child friendly, however; with the teams input I do believe we are able to meet the expectations of a larger family. I am pleased to hear that the team was friendly & helpful as we take an immense amount of pride in providing exceptional service with great value. With respect to carpet, we do recognize that some rooms are fairly worn, in which; we have since replaced over 30% and the remaining 70% is being replaced during the spring of 2014.

Once again, thank-you for your review and we look forward to hosting you and your family again when you travel back through Prince Rupert.

Best Regards,

I had stayed here before and found it adequate so booked again. On this occasion there were young girls next door whose discussion I could hear very clearly, almost as if there was no wall whatsoever. Last time I was in a corner unit presumably with no one next to me.
The shower temperature changes VERY dramatically and dangerously -again my presumption is this varies with other guests use of water. For this reason alone I would not stay again.
Otherwise: clean rooms that are quite large and only mildly outdated, hallways are outdated to the point that it is amusing. Underground but unsecured parking available, continental breakfast. Greek restaurant in the same building.

Visited Prince Rupert for a weekend sporting event with the family. The price is right and the rooms are clean and comfy. This is an older hotel with signs of wear and some dated decor, but for an affordable weekend it'll be my choice in future. The hotel is centrally located, with a grocery store next door and other shopping in walking distance. Ordered from the adjoining Greek Restaurant - Theaanne's - to eat in the room, food was good.

Thank-you for your recent review of the Pacific Inn and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Recently my husband, grandson and myself had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a weekend. I cannot say enough things about our experience here. We arrived to a clean room complete with the microwave and fridge as requested. Our room was quiet, and the housekeeping staff were very diligent in the tidying of our room. The food and service at the Greek restaurant on the ground floor was excellent. And when the power went out knocking our TV out of service, the lovely desk lady came right up to our room not once, but twice to help! Would stay here anytime and hope to next time..Thanks Pacific Inn!!

Room Tip: Very quiet and private on the back side!

We arrived late in the evening after a full day on the BC ferry from Port Hardy. It is just out of the main town but access to the centre is a 10 minute walk. We were given a room on the top floor which was a good size and above any noise from the street. The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave in it but no aircon; a pity as it was hot whilst we were there! There was a problem initially with the shower but this was sorted out immediately. The hotel was slightly tired and some carpets looked rather worn in the public areas but the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine and is served from 5 am to 10 am so that people catching the return ferry to Port Hardy can eat before transfer to the port. There is an attached Greek Restaurant in the hotel but we did not try this. Most people only seem to stay for one night as they make use of the ferry or rail. They are missing out as the town is really trying hard to appeal to travellers. Cow Bay has some good restaurants (try Dollys Seafood pasta there) and the Museum and Port Interpretative Centre are both worth visiting. Try taking the bus to the Pacific Cannery to get an insight into the salmon industry. All in all, a good experience.

Seasonedtravellers50,

Thank-you for taking the time in submitting your review of the Pacific Inn. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and that our team provided you with very helpful and friendly service. I do understand that the public area carpet are getting warn and as mentioned in my previous responses, a full public area renovation is set to transpire this winter. This renovation includes all new flooring, lighting, paint scheme's with a new Lobby entrance facade and breakfast room, as well; all new guest room carpet. I enjoyed your comments regarding the city of Prince Rupert as there is so much to see and do here and is impossible to take in within a day's trip. The history, culture and people certainly make Prince Rupert a destination choice, in which; I am pleased you had a good experience. If traveling through Prince Rupert again in the future, I would welcome you back to see the positive changes not only within the Pacific Inn but the city of Prince Rupert as well.

Best Regards,
