There is little to fault with this facility. It is an older motel that has been carefully updated and is immaculately maintained - spotless in fact which says that the owners care. We found the owners/hosts to be very friendly and quite helpful even offering a daily wine tour for guests for those interested in visiting some of the wineries in and around Penticton. In the summer months a continental breakfast is available between 08:00 and 10:00 which proved adequate for our needs. Our room was large with a separate sitting area, large bedroom, small dining area complete with a fridge and stove - a self-contained unit.
The Lakeside Villa is located on the extreme southwest limits of Penticton on Highway 97 and we were concerned about traffic noise which turned out not to be a problems. It is a bit distant from many of the area restaurants located further in to the city but being a relatively small city, distances aren't that great. The big upside is its location across the highway from Skaha Lake. A few metres walk to the underpass east of the motel, cross under Highway 97 and you are on the beach. We've always found Skaha Lake a great deal warmer and less crowded that Okanagan Lake on the north side of Penticton. For those looking for luxury and "high end" living, the Lakeside isn't for you but for those who are looking for clean comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price, it is hard to beat this facility anywhere in or around Penticton. Friendly hosts and the nearby amenities like Skaha Lake only add to the overall value. In our view definitely not high end luxury but definitely very good value all around!
