We're glad you had a great stay. It's the little things, like the free tubes to borrow, the free transportation, and our desire to help you have a great time, that set us apart.

Room was nice and at a reasonable cost. We found the west side nicer for late afternoon as the sun is not coming in the window. Our host looked after all our needs and went out of her way to please us. Will go back next year

My husband & I booked this motel for a weekend getaway for 2 nights - we wished we could have stayed longer! Although the outside looks like any old motel, the inside is completely renovated & spotless. The beds are comfortable and the kitchenette felt like a luxury. The staff was unbelievably nice & so accommodating - they took us on a wine tour and then dropped us off at the start of the channel with floaties (which they provided at no cost!). They were so understanding when my husband accidently dropped the keys in the channel, haha. They even offered to take us downtown for dinner. I've never experienced such service! When we thought it couldn't get any better, they even have a continental breakfast - what else can you ask for. We will definately come back and stay longer! I would recommend this motel to anyone wanting to visit the Okanagan.

What can we say, we do the best we can, and a key can be re-cut. Dianne and Kim work hard every day to keep the units clean, and I know they will appreciate your noticing.

We stayed in Lakeside Villa Motel for two night in July. This is probably the best motel (rooms actually do not have a motel feeling to it) we have stayed in British Columbia and we travel a good bit. We stayed in one bedroom suite and loved it. Rooms and bathroom are spotless, kitchen is very well stocked. The rooms are not very big, but absolutely sufficient size. As to hospitality and service, it is as good as it gets. Kim and Keith should teach other managers and owners; any request we had (and we travel with three kids, so we usually have a few) was fulfilled very quickly, efficiently and with a smile. They even gave us tubes and Keith dropped us to the tubing station which saved us a few bucks on the rent. Generally, accommodation in Penticton is not cheap including this motel, but they offer some of the best rates. Location is great, beach across the road and we prefer Skaha lake to Okanagan lake. Continental breakfast was what you expect from continental breakfast - coffee, muffins, toasts, fruits, coffee, etc. BBQ facilities in the backyard, we did not use those, but it is something nice to have. Water smells a bit because it comes from the well, at first children mentioned it, but got used to it very quickly. The window in the living room does not open and air conditioning can be a bit noisy, but it did not bother us and I am just being fussy. Generally, it is a great place with great people, we are going to Penticton again in August and did not have to think where to stay, it is an obvious choice. Everybody in the family loved it and thank you very much for our great stay.

thank you for your kind words. Rob has worked hard to make the the rooms feel like home. Little things like the crown moulding and full size appliances take away the motel room feel. I don't know that Kim and Keith could teach anyone how to run a motel, it's just the way they are, and that is something you can't teach. We enjoy taking our guests to the wineries, and the channel is a must do in Penticton.

Just returned from a short stay in Penticton, and stayed for the first time at the Lakeside Villa Motel on the Skaha end of Pentiction. (Skaha Lake has always been my preference) Very friendly owner and staff, went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. They also were willing to take guests on wine tours, or to the top of the canal to float down whenever they wanted. Barbecues are provided in a small grassy area, where I ate my continental breakfast each morning, very pleasant. Our room had one bedroom with another full bed in it, and a kitchen. The rooms look fresh, albeit a little dated in decor and some of the furniture, however everything was adequate and comfortable. The only note I would make ( and I forgot to mention it at the office, sorry!) was the range hood did not work at all, and when boiling pasta, the steam was a little excessive! However, all in all a very nice stay. Thanks!

Thank you for your kind review. While we aren't perfect, we do try hard to help our guests have a great stay. Rob will be happy to hear about the rooms, he has put a lot of work into making them feel homey. This is the first year for the breakfast, glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the heads up on the range hood.

We stayed for one night at the Lakeside Villa Motel. We couldn't find a reasonable B&B that would let us stay only one night so we settled on the motel. It was a very functional room and even had a little kitchenette. A continental breakfast is included in the common room. It is right on the highway so it is a bit loud but the bed rooms are situated at the back of the building so that it isn't too bad. The motel is located at the Northwest corner of Skaha Lake and there is a nice beach accessible through a highway underpass tunnel walkable from the motel. The only negative was that the water from the tap smelled horrible. Also it is a bit of a ways from downtown Penticton but there is a restaurant located next door.

With any older building, there is only so much that can be done to sound proof the walls. We have been looking for ways to improve that without tearing apart the motel. The water is something we have little control over as we are on a well, not city water. The water is tested every month before and after the filtration system. Guests from the rural areas on the prairies will understand about that. The sulphur smell usually comes from use of hot water during the summer. Unfortunately that is when most of our guests are here. Eventually the city may run a line to us.
As for being away from downtown, we are only a ten minute drive, and we are always willing to drop guests off with our shuttle van.

I use Trip Advisor religiously when travelling and booking hotels and restaurants. Up until now I have never written a reveiw myself but have also never felt so compelled to do so. This motel deserves it.

This Motel fits in perfectly with what Penticton is...a busy tourist destination that maintains a small town feel. The motel is on the outskirts of town directly across from the beach of Skaha Lake. There is a tunnel under the highway to access the beach. This section of beach was never very busy, which was nice. The motel is located directly off the highway, which at first, thought the noise would be too much. From the room, no traffic could be heard. Additionally, the access to main street and other businesses of town are easy to navigate and quick to access.

The room itself was more than we needed, with a living area(couch and TV) and kitchen/dining area, but it only made the feel of home more prevelant. The atmosphere between the other guests was very friendly. This can of course be hit and miss, but I also believe the motel has something to do with bringing in good people.

The owners were very friendly and didn't hesitate to share any information or to assist with anything. On check in, the owner shared with us a piece of information regarding the beach which, being wine country, only made our experience that much more memorable.

Well done Lakeside Villa. You do it right. We will most definitely be back.

Thank you very much for that overwhelming review Joey. We are so very glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and found your suite homey. That is what the owner, Rob is after, for our guests to feel at home while staying with us. He has spent a lot of time personally renovating the units and upgrading the property to give the best stay we can offer. As you say, the beaches are less crowded, and now with the addition of the cafe, juice bar and rental hut on the beach, it's more convenient. The extras we do for our guests, we do because we want to. Thank you again for your kind words, we look forward to seeing you again.
