“One of the best B&B in BC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Arta B&B in July. It is one of the best B&B we have been to in our many travels. We stayed in the chinese room which is beautifully decorated, has an amazing view of the Okanagan Valley from the large patio to which we had access, and certainly one of the best kept place you could ask for. The b&b is well situated and short driving distance from all the beautiful sites of the Naramata region. Most of all we appreciated Nancy ´s warm welcome and fabulous breakfasts. She shared her knowledge of the region and suggested many activities to help us enjoy our stay. We hope to come back one day to this wonderful area. Paulette, Claude and Sarah

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully decorated but the chinese room is bigger and has a large bathroom. If this...

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Chinese Room. It is ideal for 2 or 3 persons. Each year we are getting more guests from Quebec who are looking for a place with views, fruit, wine and the great outdoors. Please come again. Nancy

Nancy and Lee, thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We thourghly enjoyed ourselves and the stunning views that greeted us each morning with those stunning breakfasts. All that local produce was a neat way to feature the area and BC.You made the last part of our trip truly memorable.

Your recommendations or the local wineries were spot on as well. Thanks.

Room Tip: All the rooms are individual and comfortable and if there two couples traveling together, the suite...

Thank you for the glowing review. The Naramata Bench is renown for its fruit as well as its wine and we were glad to hear that you enjoyed both. Raspberries and apricots are now in season! If you are coming again, try the Naramata Tailgate Party which takes places the weekend after Labour Day in September. It is a great event to sample the local wines and food.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The views from the B&B were breath taking and there were excellent hiking trails very near. Room was clean, beautifully decorated, also lots of art. Breakfasts were excellent. Nancy and Wes made us feel so comfortable and provided us with lots of info regarding the area, wineries, eating places, hiking etc. we will return!

Room Tip: Have seen all rooms. Any one is a good choice. We were in the African room. Enjoyed the art.

Thank you. Guests like you remind us that the Naramata Bench with its sweeping panoramic lake views is a great place to live. This year we have 27 wineries within a few minutes of our place and the industry keeps growing. We hope that you will return to try some more wines.

We had a marvelous time at Arta B&B. Nancy and Les are wonderful hosts, and Nancy has tons of useful information to impart about the wineries of the South Okanagan and the local restaurants. She is also a terrific cook: the breakfasts are delicious and substantial (you'll want only a light lunch). The room itself was lovely, the amenities (including the kettle and microwave) were very welcome, and Nancy and Les were helpful in every way possible. We could not have asked for more. In addition, the property is well situated on the Naramata bench, close to a number of good wineries and the Kettle Valley Railway walking trail, with beautiful views from the balcony and the dining room, in which breakfast is served. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

I recently returned to Arta B&B. I travelled solo, as I had in the past, as I felt very comfortable and very much at home given the great hospitality that Nancy and Les offer. I stayed in the African room on the main floor. It is beautifully furnished and the bed is very comfortable. I had access to a lovely large living room and kitchenette, as well as an outside patio and barbecue. Breakfasts were served on the deck on warm sunny mornings. The views are spectacular. Nancy is very knowledgeable about the area - the wineries, restaurants - and happy to share her comments and suggestions. I went off to the Saturday morning Farmers' Market, as per her suggestion, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend a stay here at Arta B&B and repeat visits too!

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are lovely - beautifully furnished - and the b&b is very quiet, so noise is not an i...

We really enjoy Arta B&B, and the warm welcomes we receive from Nancy and Les as return visitors. We find the location excellent for visiting around the Okanagan and returning each night. Nancy is very informed on wines, wineries, restaurants, things to do, and changes being made, so is a terrific source of information. I love the KVR Trail, and it is literally 'up the block' from Arta. Did I mention the stupendous Breakfasts and the views from Penticton to Peachland? Wow and Double Wow!

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are clean and convenient with comfortable beds, but if you want a special treat, go for...

It is always welcoming to hear guests enjoyed their stay with us. The Naramata Bench with its views and growing number of restaurants is a great place to stay. This year there are two new places to eat on the Naramata Bench. The first is that the former Pub in Naramata which was closed for over a year will re:open in late June under new owners. The second new place is called The Grape Leaf Restaurant which opened its doors in April. It is opposite the General Store in Naramata. Both places are worth a visit when you come next time.

Stayed here with my husband and would recommend. We were greeted with a fresh smoothie - complete with plums from their garden - and served fresh fruit at breakfast, again sourced from their property. We really liked that they included local food into the experience. Fantastic views of vineyards and lake, excellent location on the bench, comfortable bed, quiet with cool coyote sounds at night in the distance, kitchenette and a BBQ onsite (huge bonus!). Owners kindly accommodated an early breakfast for us so we could rise early to climb. The other two guests staying the same weekend had been coming back for 8 years or so and made for some fun conversations over the BBQ/at breakfast. It is an intimate traditional B&B with friendly owners as you are staying in their home versus at some B&Bs which are more like small lodges. The owners also let us compost our food scraps which I liked too as I like green business practices.
