You can't beat this B&B. We stayed in the Indonesian room and also viewed the other accommaditions and all are unique. Nancy knows the area very well and could answer any of our questions. We especially enjoyed the Trans Canada Trail which is just a few minutes away. As mentioned by others this B&B deserves 5 stars.

Just returned from a tour from Calgary to VI and can confidently say that Arta was the best of our six venues. From the initial welcome, the quality of the accomodation and the breakfasts that are to die for, everything was as near perfect as possible. The suite that comprises of the African and Indonesian rooms makes Arta particulalry attractive for two couples travelling together. The only problem was that we didn't book for longer, but we hope to be back.

Travelling as two couples, we booked the suite on the lower level for three nights. Two separate bedrooms and a large private living area cum kitchenette, dining area. The view over the lake was one of the outstanding highlights for couple visiting from Ireland. The breakfasts were really superb and we were offered a choice usually of three entree. You make you selection on the day prior. Nancy, a wonderful hostess, is full of knowledge regarding the local, and not so local, wineries. Her knowledge can save you lots of time as her insights into the local area are invaluable.

We were traveling with another couple in August and were fortunate enough to book the African and Indonesian room on the lower level (still had a fabulous view). The suite was very comfortable for two couples traveling together to share. Nancy has a wealth of knowledge about the local vineyards, where to shop, and local hiking trails.

Bathrooms are private but on the small side. We opted to self-cater, but judging by the comments in the guest book, Nancy's breakfasts are delicious. Kitchenette has the basics and we were able to prepare our breakfasts and several evening meals. It was great to grill steaks and eat outside overlooking the beautiful lake and vineyard.

Nancy was warm and accommodating. She went out of her way to make certain that we were comfortable.

Thank you for pointing out that the 2 BR suite is ideal for 2 couples travelling together and that they can choose self-catering or full breakfast. With the increasing number of restaurants and wineries along the Naramata Road, we find that more and more guests prefer to stay on the Naramata Bench. We look forward to seeing you again!

We recently stayed at Arta B & B for four nights in early August - stayed in the Chinese Room. Breakfasts were outstanding - tasty, presented artfully, and served in a relaxing manner on the expansive outdoor deck overlooking the beautiful Naramata Bench and Okanagan Lake. Nancy exuded warmth from the moment she greeted us throughout our entire stay - her local knowledge guided us to great wineries and restaurants in the area, and her years of international experience added to interesting discussions over breakfast. We look forward to our next visit, and wouldn't hesitate to make this our home base again!

Putting a kingsize bed in the Chinese Room has made a big difference. That combined with a second bed for those wanting separate sleeping arrangements has added to its popularity. Thanks for the compliments. We will continue to add new breakfast dishes each season.

I recently stayed with Nancy and Les for a family vacation, along with my mom, sister and two year old niece. Nancy was very accommodating, especially given that she doesn't normally take children; she even went out of her way to make special meals for my niece. Nancy is also a fount of local knowledge and had all kinds of tips on wine tasting, KVR riding, etc.

The Chinese room was comfortable and has a fascinating decor, with one of the most amazing canopy beds I've ever seen.

And then of course there's the gourmet breakfast, custom prepared and always to die for!

We wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Arta B&B. It's quite a treat.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Arta B&B. The antique canopy bed from China within laid mother of pearl is 108 years.

I visited the Arta B&B last weekend with a friend, we both rode the Fondo and had absolutely amazing sleeps in that king size bed, the mattress name I am now going to inquire about. Nancy is very accommodating and welcoming, the breakfast is outstanding!! I would definitely recommend this place, and we are trying to get back for next year already!

Thanks for your encouraging words. We have reserved the Chinese Room for the big Fondo bike race in 2014.
