“Tiny, But Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Situated in a 1940's automotive facility it's an "order out" hamburger joint that simply put provides an excellent product. You walk in, and take responsibility for checking off "exactly" how you wish your burger to be constructed. There are lots and lots of options. You hand it in, pay the bill and in a very short time you will be eating.
In the summer there are a number of outside picnic tables to sit at or simply take your food to a nearby park or the beach. During the winter you are outside on your own.
The hamburgers are delicious and filling. (Children's could most likely share one.). If you order fries you will be stuffed.
This is a unique and fun place to visit in Penticton.

“Not for vegetarians”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Shocked that all food (beef, turkey, fish, mushroom, bacon) is handled with the same cooking utensils. Staff was friendly when this error was point out and offered to recook my salmon but the fact remains that this is their standard practice. Definitely not a place I would go back to, not sure how Burger55 meets any health standards nor has won awards. Very disappointed. Yuck.

“Usually good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

I love their burgers, they are practically a good group. Since eating burgers here, I Find no desire to eat much else. The flavour and cracked wheat bun makes for an excellent burger. Don't forget the budda sauce! It's included in the price anyways and really bumps the flavour up.
I also don't find the prices out of line; maybe if you add a billion toppings. Otherwise you get a decent burger for about 8 to ten bucks; not far away from what you would pay for chain garbage.
My only complaint is that the service and attitude has suffered since the owners aren't there as often as they used to. The minimum wage kids there on the weekend just don't care enough.

“Health Standards????”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

Staff member handled money and then food without washing hands.

Tasty food but WAS TOO PRICEY! Building is a dive. For the price of the food you would think the building and interior would be cleaner.

“Best burger in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

A little joint that serves the tastiest and sloppiest burger and great fries in Penticton. Definitely not fast food and worth every penny.
