This museum is just the right size. You can view it in an afternoon without getting tired.
It's collection covers quite a range of subject matters. It has taxidermy examples of some of the most interesting wildlife in the area. It has fossilized footprints of a dinosaur that roamed the area. Then on the human side, it has a Chinese goods shop, transported and rebuilt complete, inside the Museum, illustrating the history of the Chinese community in the region.
There are also artifacts relating to the historic boat competitions that were held on the Lake, and artifacts relating to the aboriginal population in the area.
There's an intelligent, rather than exhaustive, selection of items on display. This is a great place to spend an afternoon.
