Just so people are aware, this hotel allows pets. That's not a problem if they properly segment non-pet rooms with pet rooms but in my case they stuck me in a room between two pet owners. Between the dogs bouncing around the room and barking I was up almost All night the first evening there.

The second night they had a hotel power outage. No internet to do my work emails on for the better part of the evening. Admittedly, this was an area problem. However, when it did come back my clock time was off by a few hours and because they bought a clock exclusive for hotel use it required dismantling to get at the buttons to reset it (which took me almost an hour to figure out).

There seem to be two categories of rooms: old and new. My first night I was in a room with paint peeling and a heater that sounded like someone being tortured down in a boiler room (made more eerie by barking dogs). They fixed the heater by disabling it altogether. Good fix.

Because of my issues the first night they moved me over to a 'premium' room which was newer, more modern, and in a no-pet zone.

If you decide to stay here I would only recommend rooms 340-357 which all seem to be completely renovated.

Front desk staff was friendly for the most part.

For the rate we paid the hotel was a nice surprise. The lobby is very inviting and staff very friendly. Did not know the rate we booked for included daily breakfast which was excellent. It was buffet style and had hot oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, sausage/ham/bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit salad, toast and a variety of croissants/pastries. It was much better than what you would find at Holiday Inn Express, Best Westerns, Embassy and other similar hotels.
The rooms were nice and newly renovated. Our room faced the Hwy 97 or Harvey Street which is a busy street so there was a bit of traffic noise. Balconies were spacious and nice to sit outside. Bathrooms were on the smallish side but the water pressure showering was excellent.
There is a small fridge in the room to keep some snacks and a single serve coffee maker with Starbucks coffee.
The hotel is not on the lake but a 2 minute drive you are there. It is close to all the conveniences you need.
Will stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose the pool side as it will be quieter.

Had a two night stay here and it was brilliant. Great friendly staff a 1st floor room over looking the pool with a balcony. Comfortable beds with coffee and tea facilities and a good sized bathroom.

If you are a light sleeper would suggest ear plugs for weekend stays as there is live music till about 2300 hours. However we enjoyed the music from the bar so no issues there.

We ate at the hotel bar on first night and had the chicken quesidillas which was listed on its own so we ordered a side. The portions are a very good size so if not a big eater dont order a side! Bar staff very friendly too. Try the local cider too the pear flavoured one was my favourite!

If you have to depart early from the hotel that is no problem for the staff as the reception is 24 hours a day.

Plenty of car parking space just remember to get your car registered at reception and have your ticket on show.

Would go back again for sure.

We booked into the Coast Capri this past weekend. I cannot say enough about how hard the staff worked to make sure our stay was excellent. I will certainly recommend this hotel to others and I will certainly stay here again.

Great location, friendly staffs, the free breakfast is a big bonus for us since we are traveling with kids. Glad I booked two queen bed room, because the room was small, I can't imagine how small will the double bed room be. Dinner is delicious, on-site restaurant opens until mid night is very connivence, kids meals are delicious and very good value, $5+ for a Mac and cheese, also include veggie dip.

Clean bathroom, only downside is the bathtub, the shower/bath switch is extremely hard to pull.

Overall stay is positive, will recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in June 2014 on a road trip around British Columbia and Alberta. The reception staff were very friendly and our room was large, clean and modern. The only downside we experienced with the room was the bathroom door which could not be shut without a good push which led to a loud scrape/bang sound against the doorframe - we fed this back to the hotel upon check out and it certainly didn't affect our stay. Breakfast was very very busy and although we did just manage to get a seat we saw others who had to sit at the bar to eat their breakfast. It did look like there was a conference happening which might explain the busy environment at breakfast. The breakfast itself was buffet style and it was adequate, a range of options but it wasn't hot or even very warm. Overall thee hotel was sufficient for our needs and if I was in the area again I would consider staying again.

Stayed for a couple of nights on way back from Rockies, what a great hotel and lovely town. We upgraded to an amazing room with long views out to the hills. Staff excellent, a warm and friendly welcome and great facilities, although it did seem a bit odd that no changing rooms etc near the outdoor pool. Had a meal in the grill bar which was good, reasonably priced and well served. Would visit again.
