“Not bad, but sloppy!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2010

The burger was pretty good, it was freshly ground and prepared for us while we waited but it just was difficult to eat. It's the kind of burger that is really messy and for the price I'd rather get a couple of Whoppers!

“Very disappointing...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2010

I went yesterday based on the reviews here and finished very disappointed. I ordered a Gorgeous Burger with applewood smoked cheddar and sauteed onions for take-out. With fries and a canned drink the total was $17. After receiving my food (approx 15 mins prep time) I walked two minutes to the park where I planned to enjoy my burger. On opening however, all I found was a soggy unrecognizable mess. The bread was almost totally saturated and I was unable to hold it in my hands as it had completely lost it's form. I tried eating it but eventually gave up. In addition, there was so much sauce on the burger that the gourmet element and 'artisan' cheese seemed almost irrelevant as I was unable to taste them. All said, a very disappointing lunch.

“Great burgers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2010

This place has really good burgers, it's worth checking out. Nice bread, juicy patties and lots of different cheeses to pick between. If you get the combo they come with home style fries that are also really good. Small shop so you might want to take away on a busier day.

“Raving about their housemade veggie burger”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2010

I'd read good things about GG's and it was as good if not better than expected. Fresh Portugese-style buns, nice selection of cheeses (owner recommended the Applewood smoked cheddar and it was perfect), tasty veggie patty, all fresh condiments... for a steal at $7.95... but add $2 cause you'll love their homecut fries. The room is small (maybe 6 tables) but a neat, cool feel.
