I didn't ride the train because I wanted to photograph the locomotive. Friends told me that the locomotive was a deteriorating display where kids would play, but a few years ago some citizens formed a group with the intention of restoration. They did a magnificent job. The train runs several evenings each summer week, taking passengers on a short run across the river and back, plus there are special events throughout the year.
This is the 100th anniversary of the locomotive. It took 8 years to restore to its present state.
