“The Perfect Place to Relax at Harrison Hot Springs”

Harrison Heritage House & Kottage

Harrison Heritage House has become my family's favorite destination for Labor Day weekend. The close proximity to Lake Harrison means we can bring our kayaks and spend hours paddling around the secluded bays and coves. When the weather isn’t suitable for outdoor activities, we can curl up next to the fireplace and watch a movie or finally get around to reading a good book. Sonja and Robert have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. Each Kottage has been carefully furnished with all the comforts of home and we can always count on Sonja to provide excellent recommendations for dinner or advice on where to get the best latte in town. We’ve made Harrison House our end-of-summer tradition.

We had come to Harrison for a wedding, which was held at one of the major resorts. Many of our friends stayed in the resort, and complained all weekend about the service, the grounds, and the rooms.

Harrison Heritage House & Kottage was by far the best place to stay! The prices were incredibly reasonable, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the owners are just wonderful! Harrison Heritage House & Kottage has been the most enjoyable place I have ever stayed in. We can't wait to take another trip, thanks to Harrison Heritage House & Kottage, Harrison Hot Springs will always be on our list of favorite places to go!!!!

I'll start by saying the pictures can't do this place justice! We stayed in the willow kottage and didn't want to leave!!! Great ambience, quiet, everything you need for a great vacation, and only one block from the beach!! What wasn't mentioned when we booked with Sonja was the yard... There's a small Koi pond with some really adorable fish, a small basketball pad, bocce balls and a huge green space to play on! When we shared information with the other wedding guests staying in the area it was clear we had the best accommodation by far, both in price and beautiful rooms.
Thank you guys for a fabulous stay, we look forward to coming back just as soon as we possibly can!

We have just returned from four lovely and relaxing days at Harrison Heritage House B&B. I can't think of a single negative thing about our stay.

Harrison Heritage House consists of three b&b rooms in the main house and four cottages of varying size on their beautifully kept grounds. We booked the "Naismith Retreat" b&b room and it turned out to be just right for us. All b&b rooms have private entrances, private bathroom facilities, eating nook as well as small fridge, and coffee maker. (The cottages have more cooking facilities, but do not include a breakfast.)

Each morning breakfast is served to your room at the time of your choosing. The proprietor, Sonja, knocks gently at your door and leaves the breakfast on a tray & stand outside your door. The breakfast is full of fresh fruits, home made yogurt, home made granola, juice and pastries -- a feast for the eyes, as well as the palate. When you're done, you just return the tray and it magically disappears as quietly and unobtrusively as it appeared.

If you need fresh towels or other supplies, just let her know, and she will leave things in a lovely basket at your door. The common area is spacious and has a small assortment of complimentary DVDs, a microwave (in case you want to heat up some late night munchies), magazines, books, and brochures about the local sites as well as a computer with internet access (which we didn't try).

We really loved the sense of privacy and calm at Harrison Heritage House. The grounds are beautiful and laid out in such a way that maximum privacy is achieved. The time we spent on the back patio overlooking the gardens was like being in our own private oasis away from everything and everyone. Although we knew there were other cottages and people around, we barely saw them.

That's another beauty of HHH. It's only a block from the beach, lake, shops and restaurants, but when you're at the b&b, it seems like you're miles away.

This is really a lovely place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

“Fabulous get away”

Harrison Heritage House & Kottage

If you are looking for a couple days or a week of delicious escape, this is the place for you. The kottage was fabulous - everything we could need. Our days were our own to take an early morning stroll along the lake, have breakfast in a small cafe, poke through the stores and then head back to decide what to do with the rest of the day. On our first day we took a leisurely canoe ride through the water lilies in the creek out the back of the property. The next day we rented a kayak and explored a bit of the lake and up into the river. For each of the evenings we dined in a restaurant suggested by Sonya and were delighted with both the food and the wine selection. Everything was within walking distance.

Next time we will stay longer, get in a little hiking and take the time to sit in the lovely garden with a good book. Not only do we want to make our 'end-of-the-summer-escape' at the Harrison Heritage House an annual event, we have booked to come back in the spring as well !
