“Quiet & Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

As many have said, this hotel/motel is undergoing renovations. That being said, everyone was polite and helpful. Slightly disappointed that there was no general coffee in the lobby for guests in the morning. We had coffee in the room but when one is still sleeping and the other party does not wish to wake them lobby coffee would have been nice as the Bar & Grill was closed.

Our room was the "honeymoon suite" room 105. We expected a separate sitting area but that was not the case with the king size bed and armchair in the same room. There was a large table that could have NOT been there to give more room, however it was a comfortable space. Much to our surprise the fireplace was electric and not gas. It gave a nice ambiance as it was an upscale fireplace. The bathroom was very spacious but could certainly use new grout around the shower as it was a little gross. We were called the day before arriving telling us that the Jacuzzi was not working but was just a soaker tub. We were given a $10 discount because of this or offered a different room. We took the room anyway. The call was appreciated - thank you Catherine!

We had dinner at the River Rock Bar & Grill which was on-site. The food was very good & reasonable. The bartender was very good in knowing when to offer another drink and with our dinner orders.

The room was very clean and VERY quiet which was appreciated. Lots of amenities within walking distance. We would stay there again should the need arise.

Room Tip: The building with the actual rooms is separate from the lobby & restaurant. There is a nice litt...

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Room was clean, and despite being close to the highway it faced a courtyard that cut traffic sound considerably. You can be toasty warm with the room heater.
If approaching from North at night, the lack of lighting at the driveway entrance makes it tricky to know where you are going but there is a centre turn lane to give you time to figure it out. The courtyard rhododendron garden could be spectacular in the spring if they threw some rhodo fertilizer around a couple of times a year.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Stayed one night at the Travelodge in Duncan. I wasn't expecting it to be a motel and felt a tad isolated being a woman alone on business and having a room at the very back corner of the motel. The room though was great. It was large, clean and pleasant. I had a comfortable sleep (which is the main point). The front desk staff were very nice and internet connection was solid.
