Description: Step into our authentic gold-rush-era building and you’ll spot many local sourdoughs enjoying a favorite meal. They love us because we use local products and ingredients in our flavourful, beautiful dishes. We love them because they provide us with loyal patronage and a steady supply of Yukon-made herbs, produce, fish and more. We serve fresh, creative, North American cuisine finer than the grub stampeders had to eat.Come in and enjoy great food and a friendly atmosphere either inside our fully licensed dining room or out on our covered patio. Featuring smoked BBQ fare, scrumptious homemade desserts, and fabulous breakfast and brunch specials.

“Great burgers and fries etc.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Out of all the places in Dawson, this seems to be the best place to eat. Great burgers and very tasty fries (homemade), much tastier than anywhere else and reasonably priced. Friendly service and staff. Yukon Gold on tap. We ate there twice in three days - other establishments served very bland / greasy food. Would definitely recommend it.

Hello and thank you so much for the comments. We try very hard to provide the best of quality in all our dishes and strive to make each item from scratch; as we feel it does make a difference! I will make sure to tell our chefs. We appreciate it!

“Excellent food, made from scratch with local produce. Don't miss out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

If you are a foodie and even if you aren't don't miss Klondike Kate's. Chefs Wade and Jeff approach very dish with passion and care. Using foraged local items, Yukon beef, fresh local fish, and other items they prepare some of the most imaginative and yummy dishes around. IF you love BBQ you have to try their BBQ from Chicken smoked with local woods like birch to pork smoked using alder a trick taught to Wade by a First Nations neighbour.
And with their French Canadian influence you know their is poutine on the menu from classic to Candy pig...including you got it home smoked and candied bacon!
And if you can leave room for dessert...the best chocolate ganache cupcakes ever, oatmeal fudge squares, tin roof pie, chocolate zucchini loaf, and so much more.
Add good wine, great local beers and this is a not to be missed authentic yukon culinary experience...all in a laid back, reasonably priced, historic fun atmosphere where the owners Josee and Wade play an integral role every day. And a patio....

“Good Comfort Food to Fill My Tummy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

A chilly early September evening in the Yulon, called for something hearty to eat! Everyone has their favorite comfort food, and mine is Spareribs. Upon entering the filled restaurant, we knew we would have to wait if we wanted to eat. It's not that big of a place. A young man greeted us at the door and gave us the option to mosey on up to the bar if we wanted to wait for a table (stand up, no seats at the bar). We would be next in line. There was also outdoor patio seating available (with heaters), but I was looking to get rid of the chill. I asked,... and the Bartender suggested a liquor called Jack Daniels Honey. I had never had such a thing and I said "Why Not?" (* Often my attitude when traveling to new places). It was delicious and took the chill off,.... Wow! Medicial purposes. When we sat down, we ordered the ribs. Tender and tastey. Oh my goodness! Just the right amount of sauce. I don't like it when there's too much sauce. It can be overwhelming. They came with a choice of side dish - I picked their black beans. Unusal pairing, I know - but I just wanted to taste the way they prepared them. Different. Flavorful. The Chef came out to chat with us. Nice young man. This is a seasonal restaurant. They close during the cold months. Absolutely delicious and good "stick to your ribs" (no pun intended) food. Hmmm.m.? Maybe that "IS" a pun.
