We stayed at the Midnight Sun Hotel on 18 & 19 September 2013. The Hotel is some 110 years old, and even though it was refurbished in 1984, it is very tired and weary and well worn. On the other hand, it is a very interesting example of turn-of-the-century architecture in Dawson City, and for us was an interesting place to stay for a couple of nights. If you are looking for a sparkiling clean and up-to-date room, the Midnight Sun is not the place.
However, the service was excellent, and the folks at the front desk were very helpful. The young lady there even loaned me her portable compressor to inflate a flat tire, so I could drive the short distance to a place which could repair the tire. Folks just do not get more helpful than that.
