Owner description: Garibaldi Provincial Park is a favorite destination of outdoor enthusiasts: it offers a range of hiking opportunities from lush alpine meadows, wildlife viewing opportunities, alpine flowers blooming in lush meadows, and hikes ranging from a few hours to a few days using map and compass. Garibaldi Park has an interesting geological background as it was created by volcanic action which created the formation of many of the parks peaks; the Black Tusk, Price Mountain, The Table, Mount Garibaldi, the CinderCone and the Glacier Pikes just to name a few. Lava from Clinker Peak is responsible for the creation of The Barrier. Behind this natural dam 300 metre deep Garibaldi Lake was formed.

“Don't miss this beautiful park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

When traveling south on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, you will see Mt. Garibaldi, a gigantic granite mountain that rises immediately before you. It's one of my favorite sites in all of BC. Stop and see Shannon Falls. It's wonderful!

“Beautiful Park with great Lakefront and Campsites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Really like the private campsites. There is a great little lake that is also great for picnicking. I would highly recommend visiting this park.

“History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

The beautiful scenery makes this a very special place to spend a day or more. My grandfather and great grandfather and 4 friends made the first ascent of Mt. Garibaldi in 1907 so it is a very special place for me and my family to visit and reflect on their accomplishment.

“World class surroundings at the top”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

One of my favourite local hikes. It takes 2 - 4 hours to get from the base to the Garibaldi alpine region, but there is spectacular scenery (lakes, mountains, glaciers, natural dam) at the top. Bring some warm clothes - even in summer, just in case.
