I was looking forward to being able to stop at a good number of spots along this highway to take photos.
Photography was my main goal.
Although the scenery is lovely I have seen better elsewhere, like Jasper,Banff,Gulf Islands.
There are very few pull outs on the way to Whistler.
I guess the nature of the landscape makes it impossible to have build more.
I am not talking about actual attractions like Shannon Falls or Brandywine Falls.
There are not many pull outs heading back in the direction of Vancouver.
Britannia Beach and Porteau Cove looked nice.
Most drivers want to drive so fast and tailgate that it would be difficult to stop safely anyway.
If you enjoy driving at least 10km over the speed limit around numerous curves for a good 1.5 hours then you might like it.
If you are just visiting the Vancouver area and haven't seen mountains and ocean often you may well like it.
