We were very impressed with this restaurant - all of the food was tasty and fresh with a Cuban influence. We ordered Bruchetta to start. Although there were only two of us, this appetizer would have served four and was a tasty start to our meal. We then ordered our main course, which was served with salad. I chose the Diaz special, and it was a very fresh salad served with a homemade vinaigrette dressing. My husband chose the ranch dressing, and it was also homemade - very nice. I ordered the salmon, and it was the most tender, moist salmon I've ever eaten (and I love salmon). It was served with fresh, nicely seasoned vegetables. My husband isn't a vegetable lover, but he would gladly come back just for the vegetables - they were that good. My meal was also served with Cuban rice - which was very nicely done. My husband had the Diaz adobo pork, and it was also delicious. The pork was nicely seasoned and cooked until just done - moist and tender. We finished off the meal with both a berry cheesecake and a mango cheesecake. The cheesecake was very nice with plenty of warm fruit topping - a nice way to finish our meal.
We love Cuban food. It isn't too highly spiced, and this food, although not completely Cuban had a wonderful Cuban influence. The restaurant isn't fancy, and the menu isn't large - but the food is cooked fresh - everything we were served was lovely. On Monday nights, they serve a Cuban menu, and we can't wait to come back and try it. Give this restaurant a try - the food is delicious!!
