“Very good”

My boyfriend and I went here on our trip to jasper, we loved it, steak was amazing, cooked to perfection and tender, shrimp was also done amazingly well. Service was wonderful, on the ball and kind. Highly recommend

“Tonquin Prime Rib”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

For a restaurant that is supposed to have wonderful prime rib it was a total bust. The staff were fine, atmosphere fine - prime rib was unbelievably tough and certainly not "prime". Would hesitate to visit again. With regard to the service - good, but far too quick. This is not a fast food establishment, nor is it priced as such. We had barely had our first sip of wine when food started appearing - not relaxed dining. When you are paying is the mid thirties for an entree it is nice to enjoy and not gulp down before next course arrives. It was very disappointing.

“Not good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Nick hustled us in give us menu and dissapeared the place was empty till friends of nick came in that's when he had persona change wow he was on them like a tramp on chips. We were looked after by another guy . We ordered ribs and baked potatoes. The AAA ribs were ok but the potatoes good beer was bottled boring stuff Alexander Keith . I think what set the tone was nicks bad attitude I think he is a New Yorker with more edge than a broken pot, we will not be back .

“wont be back”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

our first night in Jasper we thought we would eat at the prime rib as it was close to our hotel, we were shown to our table or should i say rushed to our table then given our menues and what a shock we got over priced!!! but being english we did'nt like to leave but saying that i don't think we would have got out as the waiter stood watching us and ready to pounce as soon as we had chosen our meals. when we had been served our food he then stood almost on my shoulder whilst i ate my meal, my grandson went to use the bathroom and as i turned to check he was ok there was the waiter yet again watching us eat our meal, we all felt very uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of the resturant. food was'nt up to what i thought i would be after reading some reviews and it was exspensive. would not recomend this place to anyone. go to karouzo's excellant food great staff and good value for money.

“Good food but a bit pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

The food here was of good quality and well cooked, but we thought that it was overpriced even for a resort like Jasper, particularly as this place is out of the main downtown area. Service was reasonably attentive but overall we wouldn't have rushed back if staying in Jasper longer.
