We enjoyed our stay in this hotel apart from the noisy air-conditioning. It was very warm to hot during our stay and we needed this on at night but unfortunately I am a light sleeper and found it too noisy by far. The partial solution was to open the balcony windows making sure the mosquito shield was firmly in place [they were a real pest during our stay] but because our room was facing the town there was quite a bit of noise from long freight trains passing by etc. If we had a room facing the forest we could have been woken by the wolves instead I was told! Also, this hotel is last on the road leading out from Jasper and it is a good 15 minute brisk walk to the centre of town. Apparently there is an hourly courtesy bus but it wasn't advertised very well and we never used it. However, as I say, on the whole we enjoyed our brief stay here. We only used the Hearthstone restaurant in the evenings and found this to be most to our liking with the kids. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was plentiful and good and the service was extremely friendly and helpful. We had no time to use the pool but the girls used the Spa and had a great time. The rooms were a good size, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the room and hotel generally were clean. We had breakfast on two mornings in the main restaurant which was very good.
