Walked around downtown Jasper before deciding on Something Else as it looked busy and the menu looked appetizing. Was seated promptly and our server was polite and quick with our order. We decided on a 10oz New York steak and the halibut steak. The food arrived in a reasonable time. The steak was slightly overcooked (ordered medium rare and it arrived medium to welldone). The side of fries were good - thick and looked like they were freshly cut. The halibut steak was overcooked and dry, and the side of rice was Uncle Ben's quality. The brussel sprouts that came with both dishes were something else all right. Half looked like they were freshly boiled, but the other half were yellow and looked like they were recycled from someone else's plate. For dessert, I ordered the key lime cheesecake and it tasted and smelled like it had been sitting in the fridge for some time. Overall, the server was good but the food was merely mediocre.
