Firstly the staff here were super friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. I had the best chicken curry soup that i've ever had in my life! I'd like to personally thank the chef, it was amazing and would you like to send me the recipe?? :-) we enjoyed all the meals we had there and had a lovely chat with a few of the staff at the bar.
We had a room at the back that looked into the forrest, which was nice and peaceful. Would have been nice sitting out there but the mozzies were dreadful! Make sure you have plenty of bug spray - but this goes for most of alberta in the summer as the ponds of melted snow create massive breeding grounds for the suckers!
Our room was cozy, The wifi is a bit dodgy as they get it via satellite, but other than that we had a great stay overall. They have a little shop in between reception and the restaurant which had plenty of great things to browse/purchase. I'm not into buying trinkets, but they did have some lovely things.
This is a great place to stop on a trip along the icefields parkway and get out to see sunwapta falls.
