“Loved it and can't wait to come back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2006

My husband and I spent two nights in one of the Type II cottages facing the lake. The accommodations were quaint, clean and comfortable, perfect for the area. I was a little nervous about the construction taking place just across from our cottage but ultimately the workers were quiet and didn't dusrupt our stay. They are almost finished with the constuction.

Though I loved this place, it is not a luxury property, so if that is what you are seeking, I would advise somewhere else. But, if a simple, charming place with breathtaking views in a serene setting is what you want, Patricia Lake is perfect. I would definitely come back to Patricia Lake.

We booked a two-bedroomed suite at Patricia Lake after reading previous reviews on Tripadvisor - and we weren't disappointed! It is definitely a most wonderful place to stay. We were only here for two nights, but how we wished it could have been for longer. The place is so quiet, natural and restful! Our cabin was directly opposite the small playpark area, which proved to be great for us (two boys aged 8 and 11). There wasn't any of the noise problems you'd usually associate with such an area. The excellent laundry room also proved to be a great help! The staff here are friendly, helpful and SO nice. The routine of coming round at about 7.30 in the evening to check if you need anything before they finish work is just brilliant - they provide extra towels, coffee, bedding, whatever you need. The whole family could come up with only one suggestion for improvement - to have a hook put up in the bathroom to hang your nightie / robe while you are in the shower! We're all just waiting to get the chance to go back again - this time for longer!

My husband and I had chosen to go with friends to Jasper for my 40th birthday. Unfortunately they were not able to plan the trip with us as their schedual and ours did not mesh. My husband asked me where I wanted to be on my birthday and I replied any where in Alberta. He booked the Patricia Lake Bungalows. We stayed in what was called the motel. We were delighted that our room had a fire place. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Inside we could not hear our neighbours or anything outside unless our windows were open. It was perfect. The setting was serene and the lake was picturesque.

We drove into Jasper, 5 minutes away for our suppers and take in a tram ride up Whistler. After trekking to the top Hubby and I were very sore so we lounged around our room the next day and just read. It was a perfect day. (For the best cheesecake go to Evil Dave's Grill)

If you want bang for your buck, this place is it. The staff were wonderful and checked to see if we needed anything before turning in for the night. Everybody was really friendly. The coffee they provide for the rooms was the best I ever tasted. I just can't say enough about how wonderful this place is.

We found our spot for our escapes. We plan on returning, hopefully with our friends. But if they can't make it, I won't be disappointed. It's a great spot for a couple to get away and reconnect with each other.

We stayed for 4 days as part of our honeymoon travelling across Canada - it was so amazing.

We stayed in the log cabin which is just next to the lake. Only thing I'd say is that there are no cooking facilities in it but we knew that so it was perfect.

Also, we didnt hire a car, just got taxis it was cheap and meant you could both keep an eye out for wildlife.

Patricia lake is truly teh most amazing place I have been - completely serene and beautiful. Looked out of window one night and there was an elk on our doorstep - stunning.

Staff were really helpful - even offered to run us into town if they were going anyways - went out of their was to help when us eejits couldnt get the fire to work.

We travelled right across Canada and this was the favourite part fo our stay - in fact if I could move there I would - its beautiful and Id reccommend it to anyone at all.

Have a lovely time if you go - Im soooo jealous!!

We stayed in one of the bungalows for three nights in September. The location can't be beat - just a few minutes away from the townsite, but without the noise, traffic and crowding found in town. Service at Patricia Lake is very good, the grounds are well-maintained and the staff is attentive. Noise from other guests was never a problem; we were more likely to hear loons on the lake or elk bugling than our neighbors. The bed was comfortable. The gas fireplace kept the bungalow warm but only operated at two settings, just the pilot light or going full-tilt. During the night it was a bit distracting, like having a light turned on. The decor is a bit dated but everything in the kitchen and washroom worked properly. We really liked the isolation, set back from the road to Pyramid Lake so there is only local traffic. It's a great place to stay to see wildlife and a very good value for the Jasper area. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting beside the lake, tree-lined walks, quiet & serene. Our room was terrific for the price (offseason rate); heat was supplied by a large gas-log fireplace, which warmed the room quickly & was very atmospheric. When our bathroom ceiling light burned out after 10:00 PM, a maintenance man was there within 5 minutes to replace it. Every employee we spoke to there was friendly & accommodating. Rooms are non-smoking, but my friend who smokes was provided with an ashtray & allowed to smoke on the porch & at the picnic table beside the room. We wished we had planned on spending more time there & would certainly stay there again on a future trip.
