“This is a "like WOW" place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

If you drive thru Jasper National Park, by all means take the small detour over to the Athabasca Falls. You will never forgive yourself if you don't. They are very impressive, and the park has done a wonderful job of providing great concrete walkways on both sides of the falls. Yes it's very safe! Do take the time to visit. You can also use the parking lot their for a jumping off place for nice hikes too.

“Fantastic Cross Country Skiing at Athabasca Falls!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

We Skied up the Geraldine Road Trail. The trail was newly groomed, which made for a fantastic day. About 40 minutes into the trail, you get to some extremely steep sections and switchbacks that seem to take you to the tippy-top of the mountain's tree line. If you can muscle your way to end end of the trail, the views are breath-taking, the sounds are serene (nothing but cedars creeking in the wind), and the ride back down is a lot of fun!

“Snow day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

They just had 24 inches of snow the weekend before. Lots of ice and a beautiful view. We took lots of pictures and went to the train bridge when you first come to town

“Beauty in winter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Had a nice drive to the falls last weekend in Jasper. It was a beautiful sunny day and there wasn't too much snow so it made the walk to the falls easier (you have to park on the road as the parking lot is closed in the winter). There was water flowing through the ice and it was so blue and beautiful. Summer or winter the falls are a must visit attraction!

“Nice falls, interesting geological features - great pictures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

I love taking a picture of the back side of this canyon, from across the road, below the road bridge. Taken early in the morning you can get a great shot with the mist in the air.
We come here often, the falls are nice to look at, but the abandoned canyon is also a great feature.
