“Located in scenic Jasper!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

I stayed in the Chateau Jasper for only one night. I was lucky and was booked in a very comfortable suite! The bed was King-size with crisp, clean bedding and very comfortable. I had a cosy lounge area with TV and coffee- and tea bar. The room and bathroom was clean and in a good condition. The bathroom was amazing! Massive, which included an enormous bath with jacuzzi sprays which was wonderful to relax in after quite a long journey. It also had a separate shower and plenty soaps and shampoos! The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Hotel features include a restaurant, lounge, indoor pool and hot tub. The dinner menu was excellent with a great selection to choose from. For breakfast the hotel provided a Buffet or a Continental breakfast. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay there again, even if the hotel is about 15 minute walk from the centre of Jasper.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

The room was a good size, as we were a party of three we found the 2 sinks to be very useful. The room was quite comfortable. The swimming pool and hot tub were inside and in quite a good location, the gym equipment was sparse and past it's sell by date. On the 3 occasions we used the hotel bar we found the service was very slow even when the bar and restaurant where not busy, we saw other customers chase the staff for their drinks or bills. We had a great 3 nights in Jasper Park, there was loads to do and many great restaurants to choose from.

Found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Stayed on the 3rd floor (right side of hotel as you enter) in 314 and 315 one is on the inside one looks over the parking lot. No noise, no disturbed sleep. Did hear some folks who had rooms on the front ( highway, train track, reception) complain about noise at night.
Wifi is spotty, quit on second day and had to go downstairs to use (1st world problem!)
Breakfast is plain Jane and did not try dinner. Ate at The Raven. Excellent, big city quality.
Would definitely book again.

We stayed in the Chateau Jasper for 3 nights. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Jasper. The hotel does look a little out dated but we were very lucky and were upgraded to a suite which was amazing! We had a lounge area with a comfy sofa and big bedroom, a massive bathroom with an enormous bath, big enough for a whole family to wallow in!
The hotel restaurant was excellent and the waiter was particularly attentive and very friendly as are most of the Canadians we met.
We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.
I think we would have preferred to be in a hotel closer to town but apart from that we found the Chateau Jasper to be very good and good value for money

Chateau Jasper is a nice hotel in Jasper. Our room was old fashioned but in good condition and very clean. The bedroom was OK, the bathroom functional. The pool is OK... Perhaps a little small. It is a little bit of a walk into the main shopping bit.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my wife. The hotel provides free wi-fi and parking, and also free local calls. The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the decor was in keeping with the character of the hotel, although it was not as modern as other hotels. We booked a double room which had two double beds in it, as well as a very handy fridge and seating area. We booked on a room-only basis, but we decided to have breakfast in the hotel on one of the mornings. The hotel provided a buffet style breakfast, with the choice of a continental breakfast for $9 and there was the option to add bacon, sausages, scrambled egg etc for $16. The breakfast was very nice, although a little overpriced, however we later found this to be comparable to other hotels. The hotel staff were friendly and obliging, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the front of the hotel for a nicer view!

Highest prices we paid on our whole vacation but I guess that's supply and demand at work. Not sure why they were so highly rated in trip advisor - but haven't seen the others on the list. The lobby was very nice and I had my hopes up, but stepping into our room was like going back about 40 years. Haven't seen furniture and mattresses like that in a long time. It was clean and we did manage to sleep pretty well after adjusting to the elevator and hallway noise. Jasper National Park was gorgeous.
