“Christmas getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Spent 4 nights in this hotel during the Christmas holidays. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and spacious, other reviewers complained about the furniture being dated but I thought it kept with theme of park. (Great to have kettle in the room so that we could make tea that taste like tea and not coffee)The lounge and dining area was very comfortable with great decor. Breakfast was okay, however the Christmas buffet was pretty good. Overall a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is a bit dated yet the room is decent in size and comfortable. It's has a decent indoor pool and hot tub. Pricing is reasonable. There is free underground heated parking and an onsite restaurant. It is within walking distance of the town site but not practical if it's really cold out as it is more than a `15 minute walk.

Checkin was nice and fast. The restaurant was lovely. Room was very comfortable and quite spacious. Staff were professional and helpful. Nice walk to town with many places to eat. Would stay here again.

We felt like we were the only ones around, this time of year it's like a ghost town! Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff have been very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with a mini-fridge, coffee pot and kettle. The beds and furniture was very old fashioned complete with oak trimming! LOL the bathroom was also decorated in harvest gold and brown tiles....but they were clean! The pool was open but in a terrible state. It was very dimly lit, water very cold, and the room was not heated. Thank goodness for their sister resort Lobstick Lodge next door - they allowed us to use their pool. I was there with two kids and a pool is a daily MUST have.

Highlight of my stay.....the Restaurant!! You have to have the Wild Mushroom and Chorizo Penne....it was to DIE FOR!!!

I'm writing this on our last night in Jasper before heading down the Icefield Parkway to Lake Louise. Hotel rooms are a bit dated but ample accommodation, very warm and clean. Check in was smooth. Underground heated car park and good location with a 5 minute walk to downtown Jasper.

We stayed here for our first 2 nights in the Canadian Rockies so the scenery was stunning for us. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre and was clean with reasonable rooms. Our biggest objection was being told that a group had booked dinner so other guests had to sit at low tables in the bar or go to their associated hotel next door. Here the meal was adequate so next night we ate out in town - a better choice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and were kindly upgraded to a suite which was greatly appreciated. Rooms are clean, very comfortable bed, great staff and good service. They have an on site spa which was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in jasper.
