We have just had three amazing days in Cabin 35 at Jasper Alpine Lodge. The lodge was stunning, very new, it was immaculate and fitted with the highest quality stuff. It is one of the best places I have stayed in. The facilities in the lodge were second to none.
It was so good that we ate in every night, just enjoying the lodge and it's beautiful surroundings. Fantastic location right on the river which is great to walk along still any time of day.
We fell in love with Jasper, it's scenery friendly people and our lodge was the icing on the cake.
There are various cabins/lodges on the park so choose according to your needs as they do vary. The website is very clear on the sorts of lodges.
I would definitely return here

Room Tip: Choose your lodges according to needs as they vary greatly

A great home base while seeing the sites at Jasper National Park. Lots of wildlife viewing along the roads in the park. Great sitting area along the river in front of the cabins. Very quiet and relaxing. We built a fire the night before our departure in our fireplace. Great sleep!!

We stayed 2 nights in Cabin 15 and wished we could have stayed longer but our room was already booked. The cabins are beautiful. My son loved running outside to play ball on the big front lawn. The only thing remotely negative is that the staff at the front desk we dealt with weren't that knowledgable when we asked about directions or restaurants or activities. Otherwise it was our favorite place of our entire trip to the Rockies. We loved it and wish we could go back!!!!

We travelled as a couple and stayed in Cabin 3 for three nights in June 2014. It was cosy and quiet. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Staff on reception were helpful and friendly. We made the most of the BBQ provided but it was too warm at the time of our stay to light the log fire. We were only a 5 minute drive (or a pleasant 1/2 hour river walk) to the Jasper township which had good restaurants, cafes and bakeries. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs provided by the Athabasca River for pre-evening drinks and viewing the elk.

I would recommend that the owners place another shelf in the bathroom of this sized cabin (which could have been positioned below the mirror) to allow space for a toiletry travel pack. In addition the 2 x designated luggage spaces were too small to fit our standard overseas travel bags. If decent Wi-Fi connection is important to you, forget it here. It was the worst "dropping out" connection we had experienced in any accommodation in Canada or on previous overseas trips.

What we loved about Jasper was the abundance of wildlife about, particularly on the road to Miette Hot Springs. We highly recommend doing the Maligne Canyon walk and the Spirit Island Cruise from Maligne Lake - both of which were scenically stunning and an easy drive from the Alpine Village. If you enjoy a horse ride we also did an excellent 3 hour ride from Jasper Stables about 10 minutes drive from the resort.

We stayed in Cabin R. A complete escape from the world. Really short drive into town, and then back to peace and serenity. A perfect place to recharge the batteries! Really well appointed cabin, spacious and a fab bathroom. Watch out for Mosquitos though!

We absolutely loved our stay at Alpine Village, it's only 2 minutes outside the town and there is also a walking/bike track all the way. The cottages and wood cabins were delightful, I especially loved having a full kitchen. The staff we encountered were really friendly and we didn't have any problems with service or amenities. The grounds are just beautiful, I'd much rather stay in this type of wilderness setting than right in town (even though Jasper is a lovely town!). Just across the road in front of Reception is the Athabasca River and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We didn't see them unfortunately, but apparently the night we were there a Grizzly and her two cubs made an appearance on the River bank! Highly recommended and I hope I return to Jasper one day ... our visit was way too short!

Room Tip: Go for the wood cabins!
