When our tour group pulled in here for 2 nights i was expecting more of a hotel than a motel. Boy was i in for a shock! My room was on the 2nd floor and the first thing i noticed is it only had Key Access. This already unnerved me as i much prefer places with the keycard computerised access.
The room was dingy and very worn! I almost half expected a serial killer to jump out of the closet. They did have good shampoo's, lotions etc! I will give them that! However the bathroom was very rusty, i almost felt like getting a tetanus shot! Once the sun goes down it becomes very dark with very little streetlight, One night i heard a noise only to walk out and discover a moose grazing on the grass in the carpark below me so it is a good place to observe nature.
The walk into town is about 20 minutes and in the immediate area they really only have the Motel Restaurant, A Restaurant at the Lobster Lodge behind the Motel, Or another one at Tonquin Inn next to the Hotel.
They had a coin operated laundry which i used although the room seemed poorly maintained. By the way it's located in between Room 145 and 146, They never mention that in the Guest Directory., i ended up having to ask them!
Never tried the pool or spa, but i wasn't impressed by them, and the whole place just had an unfriendly feeling to it.
Never Again!
